is seven day stoo long?

i have three children 7,4 and 1 and have booked for 7 nights in august after getting a little feed back im worried 7 nights is too long and we will get fed up?

We went for 7 nights last summer and are returning to do the same this year. We didn't get fed up and were able to take our time.

We would go into the park early and then return to the hotel in the afternoon for a swim or just sit in the sun. We also went shopping and this year hoping maybe to get into Paris.

In Disneyland Park there are 2 lovely playparks that my kids would play at for hours and the grown ups just sit and people watch.

7 days may be too long in the winter months but I am sure you will be fine in August

We went for 6 days in January...and it was freezing and the parks were VERY quiet...we enjoyed it that much that next January has been booked for another 6 days

Ahem ... we have normally booked for at least a week and this summer are going for 11 days. We find this perfect to take time in the parks, not get agitated when there are long lines or you don't see a particular charcter on a day. With the ages of your troops you'll find the 7 days goes remarkably quick

Our three-night stay was much too short. We never made it to the Studios park. We only saw the parade once, but wanted to see it again. We didn't make it to the Buffalo Bill show. I wish we had stayed longer.

Can there ever be a stay thats too long at DLRP -

We stayed for 9 nights last Christmas and most definately did not get bored. As Reid said, you can take your time and spot the most beautiful details when your not rushing to fit everything in.

We had time to go into Paris and the shopping outlet and still get to do our favorite bits again.

Its a nice change to chill when all around you people are stressed and rushed.

You will have a fantastic time so just relax and enjoy the build up to the MAGIC

We've always done 5 nights/6 days (end of July) and like everyone on here has said it's great to be able to take your time and enjoy every minute of a wonderful place.
We have always gotten up early and got to the parks around 30 minutes before opening and then get all the major rides (to us) done first before the parks get too busy. We also found doing the Good Morning Fantasyland breakfast a great idea too. Then we are able to go back to the hotel for a couple of hours either to swim or just chill out.
The last couple of times we've also been able to do our favourite shows at least twice which is also great!

Last time we went for 4 nights/5 days and are doing the same again this year. Last time we didn't really enjoy our last day as we were all totally exhausted so this year we plan to take things at a slower pace (haha, as if that's going to happen). I imagine being there for a full week give you the chance to go into paris, go shopping, etc if you want to - things we don't feel we can spare the time to do, as well as being able to do the parks at a relaxed pace.

We just returned from a 6 day trip. We had almost 5 days at the resort and 1 day in Paris. And I have to say, for us this is more than enough. 5 days at the parks gives us enough time to do all our favorite attractions as often as we want, we have enough time to watch other people and to see the parade every day.
We always visit the park in low season and without kids, that’s why 5 days in the parks is more than enough for us.
And we have every evening dinner at one of the Restaurants at the resort. And after 5 days we have spent a lot of money. 7 or even 11 days at the resort would be way to expensive for us. How are you doing 11 days Reid?

I'm sure others have been for longer, but this is definitely our longest trip.

We had planned on a week at DLP and a week in a gite. With shareholder discount and considering that this is our main two week summer holiday it is as cheap as going on a package We are driving which is cheaper, although longer, than flying from the north east. We'd not consider this if we were only going for a couple of days

My kids are older, and we are not quite as 'Disney' minded as some of you lovely folk, (although I am theme-park mad in general).. we found that our first trip to DLRP recently was ok at 5 nights, but we'd done the parks to death in three days, and spent two good days/part days in Paris itself. I reckon if you hve a laid-back approach,(i.e, lie-ins and later starts each day) have younger kids, and like parades etc, a week would probably be fine... however, I can't imagine what Reid will be doing on days 7 through 11 though!

I think exactly the same. When we visited the resort 3 weeks ago in low season without kids and for the 14th time scared1: ) we felt the same.
We also "had done the parks to death" in 3 days. And day 3 and 4 were a lovely bonus. But I think in the future we will not do 5 day trips anymore. 3nights (of course at one of the Disney hotels) and 4 days will be more than enough.

We're planning a France/Italy trip for next year but only have 2 days in Paris. Can we get through all/most of Disney in just one day? We would like to see (actually my husband would...I could stay at Disney the entire time) a few other big sites while we're there. Any helpful hints (hotel, restuarants, transportation to/from Paris) would be SOOO greatly appreciated!!! Thanks a bunch.

We've not long returned from an 8 day stay and I thought it was a nice amount of time. You can fit everything in a few days but with a longer time you don't feel the need to rush and you can spend time in the playparks etc
