Hello, I've been coming onto these boards for quite a while, checking into this forum for any news and reviews about Sea World and I'm concerned that not much is ever said. Is this because there isn't much to say about Sea World either because my time could be spent doing something else? Is it worth my time to go there or should I just upgrade our Universal 3 day park-to-park passes to 4 days? There are 3 adults in the party, no kids.

Thank you for any suggestions, and hopefully someone will read this (fingers crossed).

I totally think Sea World is worth a day of your time. Is is such a beautiful park and so relaxing, and fun viewing the different animals. The shows are very good, and even though there have been some changes, the Shamu
Rocks show is outstanding. We enjoyed the dolphin show as much as our grandchildren. The food is good quality also, at least what we had. I left my video camera on a bench and when I returned it was gone, and thankfully a young girl who worked there had picked it up. Everyone has their own opinion, but I loved SW!

The animal interactions and shows are something that is unmatched anywhere else. You can feed and touch dolphins, and stingrays. You can feed sharks and Sealions. You have awesome dolphins shows, Killer whale shows and Sealion shows. There are two coasters for coaster lovers. One is called "Manta" which is one of the best Laydown flying coasters in the country. You have a water ride a motion simulator ride. Good food. A relaxing atmosphere. It is well worth a visit.

I definitely think Seaworld would be worth atleast a day of your time. Its not just for kids, both kids and adults can enjoy the exhibits and rides and shows. Hope you decide to go. Its worth it!

trust me its so worth the experience so much fun.. i guarantee your going to have a great time there

Yes definately worth it! Like a pp said it is such a beautiful and relaxing park. Also it has one of the best coasters I have ever been on! Can't wait to go back in a month!:yay:

If you don't enjoy marine mammals, then probably, no it's not worth it. We love it! Usually spend 2 days there...

We went for 2 days in the summer of 2010 and my 2 kids (5 and 9 at the time) loved it. Just last night my DD10 was talking about how much she enjoyed feeding the Dolphins and she would love to go back for a day when we are in Orlando next time.

YES!! It is worth it!

We have been to disney 100s of times - we go to Universal about 5 or 6 times a year. We did our first trip to Busch Gardens and Seaworld last month and LOVED it! Wish we had gone sooner. We are headed back the last week-end of October and plan to do only Seaworld.

We were there just a couple of weeks ago. We love Seaworld. The shows are excellent. The animal interactions are great. We fed the dolphins, the sting rays, and the seals and had a great time doing so. They also have a couple of great coasters and their water ride. The day we spent there was fun and laid back. You should definitely go.

We always spend a day at SeaWorld every trip to Orlando. We also love Universal/Islands and Disney. It can get expensive to do all the parks but SeaWorld is definitely worth it. :thumbsup2

Is this because there isn't much to say about Sea World either because my time could be spent doing something else?

Sea World doesn't take the planning that Disney does, which means way less discussion on that front. The last big change at Sea World was Manta, which opened in 2009 - Disney and Universal have both had changes since then, so less discussion on that front as well. So I suspect there isn't as much to say about Sea World. My family thinks Sea World is totally worth doing.

When we went (and every time since that I've checked), Sea World offered a "second day free" deal, where you can get a second day for the asking, and all of us but eldest daughter took advantage of that. I didn't do any of the rides and still had plenty I wanted to do those two days. It's a beautiful park for wandering around, and we could pretty much always walk into everything we wanted to do (except the rides).

Besides Manta and the selling of the parks (which took out the horses), there's really not significant changes to the park. But if you love animals, you just can't get enough of it.

On top of the second day free, they're offering your second day to Aquatica or Busch Gardens now. Instead of getting a readmission ticket on your way out, it's part of your ticket purchase at the booth. But it's on the website, under tickets. Even if you don't think you'll use the second day, go ahead and get it, you might find you'll have time for it.

Universal/Islands of Adventure can be done in a few days max (minus the new Harry Potter). It just rides and shows, which don't change. I even went the week of Christmas last year, and still pretty much got on everything in the park (studios side) in the one day. And to top it off, we didn't get there till almost lunch time. The longest wait was 2hrs for Rip Ride Rock it, which we did last and got off 5 minutes prior to closing.

Animals on the other hand, can be so interesting. And there's so many people to talk to. The trainers and the educators, they all have something new and interesting to talk about. And it's fun to just watch them. Like when some one does the beluga whale interaction tour, it's fun watch them play with the whales. I love going to the penguin talks at 2pm, as to how I got my picture in my signature. I was like a little kid in a candy store finally getting to pet a penguin and see the inside (BTW, I FROZE my little butt off). I used to go two three times a week last winter after work, cause it was too cold for Aquatica. Some days I would ride Manta a dozen times in a row, watch the penguins for 3 hrs, watch the polar bear sleep away the day, watch Believe, and I'd also stand at the dolphin cove waiting for one to come over to touch. Never did get tired of the park.

This entire site was built for Disney -- it has just grown and expanded to include other parks/attractions but obviously that's not why most visitors are here. I don't think it's a reflection on Sea World at all -- it's just a reflection of the nature of this site.

That being said, we love Sea World and our upcoming trip to WDW in November will include our 5th visit to SW. The park is absolutely beautiful, the animal exhibits and interactions are amazing, and the shows are really well done. The attractions are cool, too, but that's not the emphasis here (and that's not why we go).

If you have any interest in sea life at all, I can't imagine you wouldn't enjoy Sea World. There's really nothing else like it.

Sea World is a "must see" and well worth the visit! They have incredible Killer Whale, dolphin, penguin, and manatee exhibits. I have been going over the last 30 years and the park just gets better and better!

Sea World is fantastic! And I'm not a coaster fan but Atlantis is a must! The park itself is beautiful and the chance to feed the sea lions was something we couldn't pass up. But the highlight for me was stroking the dolphins. Just breathtaking! Definitely give it a go:)

Love Sea World. Being from the area, we had a Sea World field trip just about every year. I'm long out of school now, but out of all the parks, Sea World is one that I feel most fond of.

I read all the positives about Sea World here in the forum, and I was excited to go there. We visited this past Thursday, and I was disappointed. Yes, you could feed dolphins and sea lions, but it was 5-7 dollars a person to do so. We really did enjoy seeing the animal exhibits and shows, but not enough to ever return. My DS (13) loved both Krakken and Manta, but we all thought Atlantis was only "eh".

Perhaps 5-7 dollars to feed animals sounds expensive; but the expirence you are getting is priceless. Where else do you get to feed and touch dolphins? Feed and interact with Seals/Sealions. They offer 1 hour close up tours for each of thoes animals...and thoes run 40-50 bucks per person. It costs 150 bucks to swim with dolphins...so 7 bucks kind of sounds like a deal to me...
