Is Saratoga Springs really that bad?

there is only a day spa at SSR and GF - and there customers come from all over WDW all resorts not to mention outside resorts too.

lots of the guests who comment are DVC members - it was never a favorite with dvc members - it is way too big, and therefore everything is far away - DVC for several years instead of building a new DVC resort - they just added on to SSR - think this happened at least 3 times - each time they raised the price. W/o SSR really don't think we would have CR (BLT), GFV or PVB. DVC prices have gone up most years. Would definitely go with the regular 2-bedroom - not the treehouses.

for your needs really think SSR will work great for your trip.

If theaming isn't an issue then you probably will not be disappointed. The pools are nice some rooms have views of the golf course. We did a split stay with CBR the first half and SSR for the second half. The buses to the parks were not a problem. I liked the idea of being able to walk over or take the boat to disney springs. As for me -- i totally missed the palm trees. That is just one thing that with traveling in the winter from cold MA -- I just expect to see palm trees .

You should price out what it would cost to rent a DVC -- that is what we did and was quite a bit less than direct through disney. I just priced through a DVC rental company and for the monday before turkey day to the monday after was - $3990 DVC rental and $5400 through disney (for 2016 prices). A pretty good savings if you ask me!! We did a rental and the process was very smooth.

We love SSR. The walk to Disney Springs is easy and quick. There is always a parking spot close to your room and it feels much more private than some of the hotel type resorts.

We absolutely adore SSR!! It's always our first choice. The pools are never crowded, the spa is awesome (though call and book early, they do fill up with appointments), and the whole resort has a very relaxed, resort type feel. After the all the excitement at the parks and Disney Springs we enjoy the quiet of the resort.

We are actually pretty sad there were no one or two bedrooms available for our trip in Sept. We will be staying at GF instead and my DH is especially disappointed about it.

I'm personally not a fan, but many people love it. Has nothing to do with the size - or even the theme. I just prefer other places. Personal preference.

We stayed there a few years ago and are staying again SSR again in a few weeks. It is so pretty and quiet. Last time was a two BR, this time is a deluxe studio. I love being so close to Disney Springs!
