Is Sanaa like Boma?

I'm trying to decide if we should try Sanaa for our October trip to AKV. We have tried Boma for dinner and did NOT like it. We are going to try it for breakfast next trip; I've heard they have more "normal" foods for breakfast. I'm just afraid to try Sanaa since we didn't like Boma. Can anyone tell me if it's similar to Boma.

Sanaa is not like Boma, as it's a regular table service place, not a buffet.

In terms of food theming, it's heavy on the Indian derived flavors. If you're not a fan of curry (and I'm NOT a fan of curry), there are still items on the menu that are more neutral, for lack of a better term.

I really loved the sustainable fish dinner entree, which happened to be arctic char with scallops and shrimp on a bed of veggies in a light broth. Nothing unusual or overpowering, just lots of flavor.

I would have ordered a Tandoor oven entree otherwise. You can try it for yourselves, but I think the food here in general is way more adventurous than Boma.

I understand that Sanaa is not a buffet. I guess that scares me, too. Whatever I order is all I get. I don't have a chance to try something different if I don't like it, like I do on a buffet.

If you think that Sanaa is way more adventurous, we may want to pass. That's why we didn't really care for Boma.

Thanks for your help!

I haven't eaten at Sanaa, so I can't tell you specifics. I have eaten at Boma and I loved it. I'd probably love Sanaa too, but I eat Indian frequently at home. I, like you, really enjoy the freedom and lack of commitment of a buffet...especially if I'm trying something new. At Sanaa, unless you go with something very basic, there's a good chance you will end up with something you don't like...and you're stuck. And if you go too basic for fear of something you don't like, why not just eat somewhere you do like? With those points in mind, I would suggest skipping it.

Sanaa is fantastic. We ate there for the first time last month and loved it. Let's hope they keep there menu the same as they are now. Don't make it like every most other WDW restaurants.
