Is rope drop still best for MK if using G+

We're going to MK on 12/23 and I'm trying to navigate the expected crowds and madness lol my kids are up early so we usually do rope drop and leave early afternoon. With G+ should I just book my first LL at 7 and then try to stack with 120 rule and do a mid-late day visit? I fear getting to park at RD, using my first LL and then having to wait around for my next LL. We have a reservation at Steakhouse 71 at 5:30 so we could even leave and easily go to CR for dinner. Any thoughts?

That's a tough call, as it's probably going to be quite crowded. If you do RD, you could do a 7AM G+/LL for an attraction that is important to you, arrive at the park at RD and head directly to one/two of your favorites. By then, perhaps you can do your LL and/or book another. It's so difficult to say, because it depends what you want to ride, what is available with LL, when LL slots are available and what standby looks like in the morning. But if you book a LL at 7AM, then don't get to do another one until 11AM, who knows what will be left. Probably not much help, but we'd likely be there at RD on the 23rd and see how it goes.
