Is River Country re-opening?

Hi,

Im just wondering about the whole River Country situation. With exams and stuff ive not had tym to keep up to date with WDW. As we are returning in July I was wondering if anyone knows whether it is open now or still closed.

It's closed and it's not going to reopen.

Oddly, WDW hasn't changed many of the directional signs around the resort that still indicate which way to go to get to River Country.

I've acually heard that River Country will be the pool area for one of it's Vacation Club, so if you are a DVC Member, you might be able to swim there once again!

RC has been used for private rent-out functions, but only a few times during the last year. Although signs are still present, the monorail no longer mentions it- a sign of certian doom.

I loved River Country. I always thought it would be nice for it to be the main pool for Fort Wilderness guests, but that hasn't happened as of yet!

I love reading threads about River Country. It's amazing that you will always see at least one reply stating that it will NOT re-open!
Why then, are there still signs still showing the way?
