Is Rainforest Room on Magic/Wonder worth it?

I've cruised on Fantasy twice before and always enjoyed the rainforest room. This was also a time when I could just buy pass for few days, not an entire cruise so it wasn't too expensive either. I'll be cruising on Magic in a couple of weeks, and I know the classic ships' Rainforest Room is smaller...do you think it will be worth it? Especially now it sounds like I'll have to pay for the entire cruise.
TIA

I'm wondering the same thing. We sail the Magic 10/26 and have not been onboard since they refurbished the Rainforest Room.

My wife and I just got back from our Alaska cruise on the Wonder and we purchased the pass for the entire voyage. In the end I thought it was worth it.

I normally don't see value in things like the rainforest room, mainly because I usually don't see me using it and/or enjoying it enough to get my money's worth unless it is bering offered for an insanely low price (and let's face it, nothing Disney is offered for an insanely low price). My wife wanted it, so I went along with it. We both totally enjoyed using the Rainforest room and completely felt we got our money's worth.

I have no matter of comparison to the Rainforest room on the Fantasy, so I don't know if there is more offered in the Fantasy's Rainforest Room versus the Wonder's. I am also assuming since the Magic is the Wonder's sister ship, that their Rainforest Rooms are the same, or at least very similar.

I think it depends on what you like about the Rainforest Room on the Fantasy.

If it's the heated loungers and sauna and steam rooms, then the RR on the Magic has that. It also has the different themed showers.

Unfortunately, if it's the jacuzzis with a water view (and for that matter, heated loungers and sauna with a water view), then likely not, since the Magic's is in an enclosed space.

I actually love the RR on the Magic/Wonder-on these boards and others, it's often claimed to be "not worth it" so I've found it's much less busy than on the Dream/Fantasy. I enjoy the heated loungers and sauna/steam rooms and especially in AK need the heat/humidity, lol.

But it's definitely smaller and no view or jacuzzis so it might not be worth it to you. HTH!

I completely agree with tink1970's response that it depends on what you enjoy. They summed it up well. I will add that since you mentioned having to buy a length of cruise pass I believe it being worth it also depends on your itinerary and when you use the RR. On long itineraries with lots of sea days I've felt I more than got my moneys worth. Yes it's slightly more crowded on a sea day, but you also have many more hours to use it. If you are on a port intensive cruise and are planning to get off the ship each day for most of the day, by the time you come back and head to dinner and maybe a show, there is hardly time to use the RR before it closes. You are still paying for all those days you don't use it.

I don't hesitate to book it on a heavy sea day cruise like a TA, but I have never booked it on a port heavy cruise like around Europe. I just can't bother with the length of cruise pass at it's price when I know I will have to rush around to use the RR each day to justify the purchase. I'd still book a single day use pass if available for a sea day though.

I think my biggest concern is that because it's so much smaller, that it will become horrific when crowded. We have encountered some really terrible and non-relaxing behavior on the Fantasy in the RR and it's pretty big. But if not as many people book it, that might make it worthwhile. I guess we will check it out on embarkation day and decide.

I have never experienced a point where it was horrific. I have often experienced points where all the lounge chairs and full, and the people in the lounge chairs stay for several hours. This can be frustrating because those loungers are nice but I'm usually content to go back in one of the sauna rooms. It can get crowded though. You might have 4 or 5 people in a sauna room, all the loungers full, and a few people in a shower. This doesn't last long. It seems to self regulate. If it's too crowded people leave (especially if they have length of cruise passes).

All that said, I could see how it could get to a overly crowded level. I've just never experienced a level that felt too full (at least for very long).
