I have my ressies for all my dining but have heard the RC is a must. I am taking my 2 girls and want them to enjoy it ! Should I fit in 1 more dinner?

if you all have never been then try to fit it in. if you have one in your area, then opt for that instead.

I agree...if you have never been go...and remember, the portions there are huge...you can easily share. Great place for a snack also in the middle of the day...they have excellent appetizers and smoothies.

I also agree that if you do have one within driving distance I would go there instead of the one in AKL. We have only been to the one in AKL and we really enjoyed it. My kids really enjoyed it. I have also heard that the one at AKL is one of the best RFC's.

We love the RFC at AKL for breakfast! In fact, that is the only meal we've eaten there, so far. We plan to try supper this coming trip.

The breakfast choices are excellent, and the atmosphere is great fun.

:wave2:

...I agree with the notion that if you have one anywhere near where you live, go at home and skip it at Disney. We will probably do RFC because of the atmosphere but in all honesty, the food isnt really that great, its overpriced, super crowded & seating is usually really close together, and we haven't really gotten great service ever. The closest to really good service was for breakfast at Animal Kingdom so you might want to opt for that - the food was better then too.

Hate to be a downer, but wanted to give my POV too. Like I said, if you go for the atmosphere only and to see the kids get excited you will probably enjoy it - just dont expect too much in the quality or service dept.

For atmosphere it is a must for young kids. For food quality and service, it is a must NOT for adults. So the decision becomes.....is it for the kids or not? If for the kids, go for it....I am sure they will enjoy the restaurant. If for the adults...stay away!

If you have to go.....AK at the MarketPlace at DD is much more enjoyable.....at least to me and my family!

Rain Forest Cafe is always a must for us. I love that restaurant. No, I'm sure it's not for everyone. Look at what they have to offer menu wise. We like their food. We think it's excellent. I love their drinks. I lose the atmosphere. We will in Iowa and there is not a RFC here. Anytime we travel to a place with one, we go. We just really enjoy eating there. To us, it is part of Disney.

personally i can't stand the Rainforest cafe. the foods not THAT great and the rain gets a little annoying...for me at least. But if that's ur brand of vodka then i say go for it. it's just a meal. it IS very "themed." and loud =)

One of our favorites....two words.... CHICKEN QUESADILLAS!!!!!! We always go at least twice each trip and it's always our last meal before leaving.... we don't have one around here:(

P.S. Just wanted to clarify... it's in Animal Kingdom (AK), not Animal Kingdom Lodge (AKL)... didn't want anyone missing their meal!!!!!

We usually go the the RFC at DTD every trip. The kids really enjoy it. And usually the food is really good. But when we ate there in August the food was just terrible. The burgers were overcooked and my chicken wrap was yuck.

The only thing good about that meal was my Margarilla (sp).:)

Maybe next trip we'll try the one at the AK.

I agree, if you have one within driving distance, skip it at WDW.

We ate at the one at AK before the one near us opened. It was OK, but nothing worth spending WDW dining time over to go again--so many better places to eat.

Either at DD or AK. The food is very good, the service is fast and the atmosphere is fun for all ages. Great fun! Remember, huge portions too so sharing is a great idea.

We have eaten at DTD and AK, last week we used the Connections voucher for RFC and really had a great meal! DD even loved her kid's meal and the aquarium was really neat as well. We definately will do that one again.

Agree with the masses: if you have one nearby at home, try that first to see if it's for you. If not, I would try to squeeze it in.
FYI, we enjoy it (the Margarillas rule), and except for the crowds and the wait (at times), we have not had a bad experience there yet (knock on wood).

Agree, if you can do it at home, better to do another meal at a disney place. If you must do, the one at AKL is less crowded and food quality/ service is consistantly good........ We always start the day late and end late. Often the disney food places are closed by the time we leave the parks. So when we are staying in a resort that doesn't have late/good room service, we always do take out at the RFC. Selection is excellent and a drink at the bar while waiting ends the night right.....
