Is Prime Time Cafe cursed, or is it just me?

On our 1st trip to WDW in 1993, we had lunch at Prime Time, and I lost my credit card there. Luckily, someone found it on the ground in front and turned it in and we got it back the next day.

Our 2nd trip was in 09/2001, and once again we ate lunch at the Prime Time. Once again, I lost my credit card there. Again, luckily, it was found and I retrieved it the next day.

Our 3rd trip to WDW was in May 2002. I didn't go near the Prime Time Cafe  I never once lost my credit card.

Now I'm planning our next trip for this Dec/Jan., and my dd is bugging me to dine there again. Do you think it's safe?

Well, look at it this way - despite the fact that you lost your credit card twice, it was also returned twice. So maybe Prime Time is really lucky for you!

:)

I have the same problem with our local Target. I never lose my debit card anywhere but there--twice and both times it has been returned. I agree with n2mm--take cash!! Thanks ftwildernessguy-I never thought about it that way--maybe that is my lucky Target!!

As much as I love Primetime Cafe, I think it's cursed too. I ended up with a very sudden case of "intestinal distress" right in the middle of my meal. Let's just say I'm very familiar with the "facilities" in Primetime Cafe now.:p

I agree with FortWildernessGuy........you got it back each time, so its probably really good luck!

Go for it! I love the atmosphere and food there. We eat there everytime we go!

I got cold chills when I read this thread. I have never, EVER, in my adult life lost my wallet. But this past December, after our party of six ate at Prime Time, I walked into the sunlight and toward Sunset Blvd. when I grabbed at my hip pocket. No wallet.

I hotfooted it back to PT and our server, bless her heart, was standing there waiting, wallet in hand.

So, YOU are not ALONE in being stricken with the PT curse.

Go again - Third time lucky but take cash!!!!

Everyone gets their lost items back! Sounds like a great place! Honestly, we love Prime Time and go there every trip. Their PBJ shakes alone make it worth the stop! I am glad, though, that I learned a valuable lesson through these boards.... SPLIT A MEAL! Dh and I split the potroast and it was delicious, w/o being overbearing on a hot day. I think we should have split the shakes, too! We took a chance and asked for a to-go cup. They offered them graciously!

Because you lost your card - does that mean you ate for free ???

 :

What a place !

Must just be you, because we have never had a bad experience at 50's Primetime, and it is one of our "never to be missed" experiences.

Just make sure that you have your credit card when you go into the park, and before you go into the restaurant... keep checking! Maybe this time will be the charm! Or better yet, leave the Credit card in the room and pay with cash or traveler's checks!

I don't believe in the curse. But if anyone should have a problem with charging and cards at Disney it should be our family. Two years ago, my husband left his room card with charging privileges at Tony's. We went to the front dest at the resort told them what had happened and they cancelled that card and issued new cards. Well we thought all is well now. When we got home. We got our actual credit card statement. The charges that we made while we were there were on the credit card, along with charges from two florists, Pizza Hut, a Cell phone company, amazon. com along with about 4 or 5 more charges. We were also informed that who ever was charging on our card tried to buy a computer too there wasn't enough credit available on the card for that Thank God. So we contacted the police dept. up there and whoever was using it was from the Kissimee St Cloud area. Our deduction was whoever was doing it had access to the Disney Computers to get our acctual Credit Card information and use it to charge on our real card not the Disney issued card. Makes you wonder which Disney employee was the theif. Even with my husband being a South Fl. cop, they wouldn't let us know who it was. What a shame.

So keep track of your cards.

Are anyone's? ;) I have never lost my cards there, but my available credit always seems to disappear... very strange.... :p

And I would definitely go to PrimeTime - it's too much fun to miss! And you are soooo right, #1hockeymom, those PBJ shakes are awesome!
