Is Polynesian Isles Resort the nicest, closest and least expensive 2BR resort?

The reviews on tripadvisor and epinions for Polynesian Isles mostly say that although this place is not new, it is well maintained, quiet, close to Disney, and has lush tropical vegetation. Through AAA, I can get a 2BR for $127/nt in March. Would you recommend PI or do you know of a better place that is close, inexpensive, yet with nice grounds and well maintained?

We stayed at Polynesian Isles in Jan of 2004 and VERY MUCH enjoyed the grounds, the small pool, and the location. It was literally 10-15 minutes door to gate. Plus you are close to one of the main drags with many groceries, restaurants, etc.

I agree that while it's not new, it was well maintained, quiet, and nice. The laundry was GREAT. (2 units share 1 washer and dryer and we had no neighbors, so it was all ours).

no it is not the closely by any means.

there are several closer - silver lake on the ak side, Cypress pointe on the DD side.

How would you compare Silver Lake and Cypress Pointe in terms of overall quality to Polynesian Isles?

I think Cypress Pointe is better. Silver Lake it completely depends upon what room you get. Some are a little better - others are much worst.

I like to stay at Celebration World Resort. It allows pets. So if you don't like animals avoid this place.

It is fairly close to WDW - 5 miles away from AK.

if you do a search on Polynesian Isles here, I wrote a review recently. We stayed there in October and really liked it.
