We love the Poly, the atmosphere, the location, the monorail, to us it is just so Disney. We have stayed at other resorts, and something just seems to lack for us, notice I said "us", not for everyone;) . With small children the monorial is fun and most of all fast transportion to and from the parks. Nothing beats sitting on the beach watching the water parade, fireworks and the castle changing colors, watching the monorail run, just can't be beat all while the kids play in the sand. The zero entry pool too will be nice for the small kids. The size of the rooms is nice too, you don't feel cramped at all and the bathroom is a good size too. The food choices are fantastic. 'Ohanas is super good with lots of fun for the kids. Kona has the best breakfast in all of WDW IMHO:goodvibes and the coffee.....the coffee at the little cafe outside Kona is great to grab something early in the morning on the way to the parks......Darn I miss the Poly!!!!!!! Good luck on your choice.

The Polynesian Resort. You have a 2-year old and the Poly has the monorail. 'Nuff said. Enjoy!

If you haven't already, google "tikiman 2001". His website sold me a couple of years ago.

We've stayed at the Poly twice. Stayed at WL twice. Even with the crazy price--Poly still gets my vote. Pure magic!

I voted for the Poly. I have a 5 yr old and a 1 yr old (2 MacLaren umbrella strollers). The transportation is AWESOME. We caught the MK monorail at the front of the resort and walked to the TTC to catch the Epcot monorail. The only bus you will need is to the Animal Kingdom and Downtown Disney or any of the Water Parks. We even caught the boat once to MK just for the fun of it. In other words....so many options.

They have some great restaurants. The monorail is also nice if you have ADR's at the Contemporary or Grand Floridian. We also took the boat to WL for lunch.

My DD loved the beach area. We watched Wishes from there (my niece (7) didn't like fireworks at the time b/c of the noise...she loved them from the Poly beach).

I also have to mention the resort itself. The grounds are so peaceful, especially after a long day at the park. My DD and my niece loved the pool.
