I made dinner reservations at planet hollywood for a day i figured we would be going to downtown disney, is it good????

Sorry to say this was one of my worst dining experiences at Disney......the wait was unbelievable (our fault although I dont know if they take reservations)......then after we did get seated it took forever to be waited on and then the food was horrible.......

Do a search here for more reviews.

We didn't care for it either. The food was just your typical burger and fries. The service was almost non-existent. The only thing we enjoyed was looking at the movie memorabilia.

We ate dinner there last July and enjoyed it. Food was decent, but what we really liked was the atmosphere. My 16 yr old DD especially liked it. Lots of cool stuff to look at.

it's your standard friday's or chain burger type joint. i like that stuff so i enjoyed it. warning....loud is an understatement for this place. if you are looking for quiet and relaxing...steer clear! all said.. me and the kids loved it.

I cancelled a 2:45pm lunch at Le Cellier for Planet Hollywood because
My kids have had the stomach flu for 3 days and it was their first good day and we decided just to take it easy and had not yet been to DTD... We thought it was great for lunch!!!!! If you can get over the prices between lunch and dinner..it was fine!

We went there because the kids fell asleep and we missed our
ohana reservation. Planet Hollywood was open late. I didn't care for my meal, but DH and the kids loved it. The appetizers and deserts were great! We got a ton of food, but this was when the appetizers were inluded in the dining plan.

is it good????

Let me put it this way. I bought a Turkey Club (menu says smoked turkey breast, hickory-smoked bacon, Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise on sourdough bread) with French fries and a cup of coffee. I only ate 3 bites of the sandwich. If it that was sourdough bread, I'm a monkey. It tasted like a sandwich mom would put in your school lunch. One you would trade. :scared: No flavor at all! The fries were ok.

I used a $15 voucher, so my total was $3 including tip. I think I overpaid! Worst meal of my entire trip. I let them throw it away, and paid for an extra counterservice meal OOP, since I used all of my DDP credits. That's how horrible it was.

It is not all that bad. The food is only so-so. It is along the same quality as TGI Fridays. However, I would go at least once just to look at the movie memorabilia and props, and to experience the atmosphere.

It is good, but you are paying for the atmosphere. I am not a huge fan of Rainforest Cafe, but we eat there. Again paying for the atmosphere. It is something different to look at. All sorts of movie stuff. I don't think I will go again though.

I got horribly ill after eating there:sick: a few years back...ate the lasganua tubes...we haven't eaten there since.

DH and I loved the food but we will only go there for lunch.
We went for diner one time and the DJ had the music so loud we could not hear the waitress and she could not hear our order - I had to point to what I wanted on the menu. Forget about talking to each other. I had a terrible headache when we left.

To me this is a place that you go to once just to see all of the movie memorabilia that is there. Our last trip the wait for a table was extremely long and the food was just average. Service was slow as well and I agree with the previous poster that the noise level in the evening is terrible. I couldn't wait to get out of there.

Maybe we're in the minority here, but we like Planet Hollywood. I agree that the food is similar to TGI Friday's or something like that. I also enjoy the movie atmosphere. Here are a few pictures of our food from our Aug. meal there.
