Is pin trading still popular?

My girls loved it when they were younger. They are almost 16 and we are taking their cousins (10,10 & 7) in August and was wondering if it is still as popular as it was 4-5 years ago?

When I was in the parks in December, I definitely saw plenty of people trading with castmembers, and people posted up at Pin Central in Epcot with their pin bags, negotiating the details of trades like they were international peace agreements. Personally, I'm more of a pin "collector" (read: buyer) than trader, but I definitely make the odd trade here and there.

Yes, it is. Our kids are really into it. I don't trade, but do have a small collection. Any CM wearing pins is more than happy to trade...many of them walk up to our kids and ask them.

It still going strong, and now can see different presentations as well, ot just the "lanyard around the neck"

Was just there last week and pin trading is definitely still going strong! One girl was proudly showing off a 5 legged goat pin (from the Mary Blair mural at the Contemporary) - it made me wish we were into pin trading!

The most pin trading I've seen out of all the parks is hands down at the pin stand in the middle of Epcot right behind Spaceship Earth.

This is where you'll find people at tables with bags all out

My friend got me into pin trading last year, if you like to trade with other guests then the pin stand in Epcot behind Spaceship Earth seems to be consistently the place to be (I don't I just trade with cast members) but it does seem pretty intense. My favorite park to pin trade in is AK, I don't know if there are more pin trading locations there, or if they are just easier to spot, but I am always blown away at the breadth of pin trading at that park! There is also a large pin board at Disney Springs where the busses drop off/pick up that I enjoy.
