Is pin trading still happening?

Planning a quick trip next weekend for the kids. Want to know if it’s worth bringing their pins if the cast members are trading or not. They usually like to trade on the boards in the shops.

We traded pins in January. It's only at certain places on a board. There is one shop in each of the lands in MK (space mountain, splash mountain, pirates are 3 of them), 3 boards in AK (near Pandora, near the front shops and near Everest), 1 board in EPCOT near Spaceship Earth, and at least 2 boards in DS toward the front (oh - and there was one in the shop at the end of Star Tours). Sometimes you have to ask to see the board. Some boards are only available during certain hours.

I know there are also boards in some of the resorts, but we stayed at BLT and never found the board in the Contemporary (though to be fair we didn't ask around that much either).

My son loves trading and got several cute new pins this trip.

We saw pin trading happening at the Yacht club gift shop and at AK near Tiffins. They have a board and after you indicagte which one you want they take it off and hand it to you, ask you to keep your pin back, and tell you to drop the one you are giving up into a small container. I suppose they will sanitize them before they put them out for others to see.
