Is Peter Pan's Flight worth the long wait?

Yes! It's the BEST ride in the whole of Disney!! :tink: DON'T miss it! D: I would wait all day to ride if I had to!

No. That's why we devote one early morning to Fantasyland. Dumbo, Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh - fun little rides, but not worth fastpassing or standing in huge lines. But we don't mind getting up early.

For my family..YES...it is a sentimental favorite of ours and a MUST do each trip.

I've been on Peter Pan once - skipped it last time because of the line up (it was a VERY hot day and I had my elderly mom with us) - but I believe it's something everyone should experience at least once......if you don't want to use FP, try later at night - when people are getting the spots for the parade and fire works or taking the little ones back to their hotels - that might work.

It's a must do for us as well, but we wouldn't wait 30-40 minutes for it. We'd either use a FP or a go early/late in the day.

We love this ride. It has become a traditional first ride in either DL or DW, since the first time we rode it our children were under one year old. I am always there at either EMH/rope drop anyway for MK so make a point of going there first. If you really want to see it I agree with others - get a fastpass or go on it first thing when the park opens. (I would rather hold the FP for some other larger attraction though).
If you are a fly by the seat of your pants, gotta ride the big attractions, don't care for Small World or (in DL Toads WIld Ride), Snow White and other slower paced yet beautiful rides, you are not missing anything.
We were never big fans of Peter Pan specifically but its a wee bit of magic, flying over London and catching the storyline. I would never wait 45 mins for it though!
Good luck, may you get to ride it at least ince!

Get there at rope drop, or get a fastpass. Though the ride is old-school technology, it is a stone Disney classic. If you love (old) Disney, this attraction is a MUST.:earsboy:

This is my opinion as well. It is pure, classic Disney World. Walt was involved. It is magically simple the way attractions used to be (whereas now they are often magically complex - still fun, just different).

If you aren't willing to take advantage of free fastpass then you have no room to complain if you miss things. Disney isn't the local mall. Either you plan a little or you have to put up with missing out. There are too many things to see and too many people trying to see them to get by only by the seat of your pants. Once you've gone many times and know the general flow and don't need maps and only look at your park times guide once or twice per day... THEN you can get by with little planning because by then you also know what you enjoy and what you don't enjoy, etc. But for first timers or people who haven't been recently, etc. even a very small amount of planning can go a very, very long way to making the trip more enjoyable.

Thanks for everyone's great responses.

Now I really feel bad that I didn't wait it out on my previous trip and see Peter Pan. Next trip I will pre-plan using either FP, rope drop or EMH and make sure I don't miss this Disney classic. If it still works out that I have to wait 45+ minutes then clearly god must be testing my Disney resolve and I will live up to the challenge this time!

Hi DV, I'm glad the video helped you to see the ride better. :goodvibes

Thanks for posting such great videos sunocox. I thought for a while you might work for Disney but after I saw your new TTA ride with old audio video I realized that Disney would never let you do that. :rotfl:

Keep up the good work.
