We visited in February, and the resort was great EXCEPT the parking. Is this still a problem?

We were there in april and I'm not sure what problem you had with parking. We had none.

We just returned from 10 days at the Swan and AKL, but we travelled with a couple who stayed at Pop. They mentioned that the parking was terrible and had to park very far away from their building. They were in the 70's building.

What building were you in? In Feb we stayed in the 50's building and parking was BAD, some nights we had to park in the unfinishe portion of the lot.

Thank you for the buiding location, at least now I know that 50's and 70's are still a problem.

dzneprincess..........we were in the 60's.........yes, we had to park a fur piece from our room.......but we parked once and used the buses to get around...........so it was just arriving and leaving that we had a hike to get there..

We parked in the 50's & 60's areas last week with no problems. I had a rental for 3 days & I was worried I wouldn't be able to park it from what I had read. We left around 9 in the morning & returned around 7 pm. Then we would take the bus if we went out again. I didn't want to drive at nite since I wasn't familiar with the area. Maybe if we had returned a lot later it would have been more of an issue (?). I did notice cars parked at the ends of the rows, like maybe there weren't any places left when they got there.

If you return early, tamickey said...you can find a spot..if you stay late for dinner/fireworks etc..the lot is full, full, full.

They were opening up new parking as fast as they could..what they really need to do is close in the lake and make it a parking area also, or build a ramp..they have no where else to go for parking..it will always be a mess.

LOL that sounds great, hey kids lets leave the parks early, so we can gewt a parking space at the hotel! LOL I am sure that would fly :-) Guess I will just have to grin and bear it :-) We are elaving Thrusday evening so I will find out soon enough :teeth:

We were at Pop in the middle of May, staying in the 70's. Our first nite or two there we had alot of trouble finding parking near our building. We ended up parking in the Check-In lot right next to our parking lot. We weren't not the only ones doing this and noone gave us any trouble for doing so. I figured it was Disney's problem regarding the lack of parking so they wouldn't dare tow a guest's car.

P.S. the Check-in parking lot is HUGE - they should use some of it to make more parking for the 70's area.

We were there June 19th-24th, stayed in 70's building #10 and had no problem finding a space in the 70's parking lot close to our building. We parked our car there when we checked in and did not move it until we checked out.

We just came back and parking was bad, bad, bad! We stayed in the 60's section and found it difficult to park every night. Also, there is no parking close to the 60's bldgs at all. You have to park in the 50's or 70's section, which are a hike. Plus the parking spaces are small. I have a minivan and it was a project trying to fit into the tiny little spaces.
