I thought I recently read that they changed the dress code for Palo and that it was a little more casual. Can anyone verify?
I think you're thinking of the other restaurants:
DRESS POLICY CHANGE
Jeans are now acceptable attire under the revised "Cruise Casual" dress policy. It is still requested that guests do not wear shorts, swimwear or tank tops to the dining rooms.
The attire is determined by the day, not the restaurant with the exception of Palo. The seven night cruise has a formal night, semi-formal night, pirate/tropical night and four "Cruise Casual" nights.
On the 3 and 4 day cruises there is one night where "dress-up" attire is requested. Men are asked to wear a jacket while ladies are asked to wear either a dress or nice pantsuit.
The following is from one of our old Navigators:
Palo (Dress: Jacket Recommended, Dress Shirt Required - No Shorts or Jeans Please).
Disney Cruise Line® has altered its dress code, and now requires that gentlemen wear a dress shirt when dining at Palo. A jacket (or tie) is still suggested but not required. Gentlemen wearing t-shirts, golf shirts, Tommy Bahamas type shirts, etc. will be turned away.
I can say that on our last cruise, there were two young men turned away from Palo. They were wearing Tommy Bahama style shirts and the Maitre 'd told them they needed to go get a jacket.
