Just wondering if anyone knows if Palo brunch is back to self-service buffet on the Dream? Thanks!
Thanks. I agree that DCL would probably make the change for both, rather than just one of the ships. Bummer - I have to try to book at midnight tonight, but I really don't want to do a-la-carte. I guess I get to sleep in since we aren't planning to book excursions on this trip, either. It still wasn’t self-serve on the Fantasy last week, if that is helpful.
I guess I’d be surprised if they brought it back for the Dream but not her sister ship?
It bummed us out, too. There’s just something about serving yourself that, for some unknown reason, I totally love…..Thanks. I just want the variety! Past photos of the buffet looked amazing. We have never been able to get Palo brunch and have always wanted to try it, but I guess it may not come back. It's less expensive for DCL to offer limited options than a huge buffet. Oh well.....It bummed us out, too. I highly doubt they are going to start listening anytime soon. History has proven that. LOLWe did a 4-night on the Dream June 16rh and Palo Brunch was still table service only. Talked to the manager about it and let him know that we much preferred the buffet version. He said he was only a small cog in the wheel. I asked him to bring it up with his bosses.
I also made that a point in my post-cruise survey. Will anybody listen.
An employee who needs the job is unlikely to bring up complaints to his "bosses". It isn't really fair to pressure him to. If a customer has a policy complaint, then the customer should complain directly to the cruise line. As the manager pointed out, he has no power over this policy.Talked to the manager about it and let him know that we much preferred the buffet version. He said he was only a small cog in the wheel. Sorry, I disagree. It most certainly is the front line employee's job to bring up issues with their bosses. An employee who needs the job is unlikely to bring up complaints to his "bosses". Okay, that's cool.Sorry, I disagree. It most certainly is the front line employee's job to bring up issues with their bosses.
And yes, I did include my complaint in the survey as well.
The PALO Steakhouse brunch menu lists sticky buns. Maybe they'll be back on the other ships soon, too?Just bumping this up, any updates on this? At least bring back the sticky buns!!!
