is one dvc more popular than another?

we staying in okw about 10 yrs ago it was very nice from what i remember and we did do the tour with dvc with saratoga which was nice too. but from what i have read okw is larger rooms???

Deep down inside everybody knows that VWL is the best resort, followed by AKV.
No matter what they tell you about "personal choice", they are hiding their inner feelings..

DH and I own at BWV, but I wouldn't say it's our favorite, as we've never stayed there!

The most popular DVC resort may not be the one that you find most comfortable. What one person loves about a resort, another hates. That's why DVC is kinda like ice cream......lots of different flavors for lots of different tastes!

In my opinion, the Kingdom Tower at the Contemporary will be the most popular DVC resort once it opens. Face it, the Magic Kingdom is the most popular Theme Park in the world and the Kingdom Tower will be the only DVC resort within walking distance to the park. To make things twice as exciting, it will also be the only DVC resort on the monorail track. I can't wait to stay at the new resort and avoid the long waits for bus service. Before buying into DVC, we always stayed at the Magic Kingdom resorts for the convenience of the monorail. There's nothing like spending a hot day in the park and being able to hop on the monorail and be back in your air conditioned room in less than 10 minutes. There's also nothing more magical than standing on your balcony and seeing Cinderella's Castle during the morning sunrise.

I'm not sure I totally agree. We have a 150 point contract at BWV and have been thinking about adding on to it but wanted to see how KT was priced. Part of me agrees with you that MK is the best park BUT the boardwalk area puts you walking distance to 2 parks. My kids are pretty young so we typically don't stay out too late. We find it enormously convenient to see Fantasmic or Illuminations and walk back to our hotel. If we were at an MK resort we'd be out waiting for a bus with everyone else when those shows ended.

Still, the quick access to MK will be very appealing. I may be singing a different tune when KT is available...

I know I'm not alone here when I say KTV does nothing for me.
I do agree that overall Magic Kingdom is the most popular park, and the KTV will have the mono going for it, but I just can't get past the theme.

For me, THEE most importatnt aspect of a resort is the theme, and how well the theme is executed...
That's why we own at VWL & AKV!!

I am sure the KTV will have more than enough loyal support to keep it full...

Crisi has it right. DVC did a survey a few years back (before SSR opened, I think) asking members which was their favorite DVC property. Something like 80-90% of the respondents picked their home resort.

We own at SSR and have no desire to stay there... We have small kids and the style does not excite them or really interest us... Maybe when the kids are older and we can use DTD more... We purchased there because there was a good deal going at the time and we had the money... We felt we needed to jump on the offer... We likely would not have done it if we knew getting one of the resorts of choice for the first two weeks of Dec. was going to be such a problem... We are putting some money together now and plan to purchase more interest in AKL... For now, we love the VWL, AKL, and BC the most....

VWL and BCV for their locations, atmopshere, and dining choices
BCV and AKL for their pools
AKL for the animals
