Is once enough for Indiana Jones?

I saw the Indiana Jones show once about 15 years ago. I wasn't too impressed with it. I do remember it being very HOT and STUFFY (it was August). I've never gone back to see it. And my younger kids haven't seen it, I thought they wouldn't really care for it.

Has the show changed at all? Do you think it's still very hot in there (we're going in Sept). Will my younger kids ages 5 and 7 like it?

For me, yes once was enough. If you have action oriented boys, they might like to see it again and again, but hubby nor I thought the show was anything specal, just very LOUD.

I'm not sure what the show was like 15 years ago but over the last 10 or so, it has not changed much. We don't do it every time we visit MGM but we don't avoid it either. It is entertaining and can give you a nice place to get out of the sun for a bit.

I would not bother standing in line for this. I have never not been able to just walk in just before the show begins and find a seat.

Have fun!

Same here, we saw it a long time ago and haven't been back. Once was enough for us, but your young kids might like to see it at least once too. I wish they would put the ride that is at DL there instead of the show.

We saw it once before kids and that would have been enough for us. But last year we took our then DD5 and DS4 to see it and they loved it, especially our son. He even wanted to see it again! If you think your kids will like it, it's worth sitting through again.

I usually see it evert 2nd or 3rd trip just because I love Indiana Jones. I would see it again after such a long time just beause you never know when it might close and replaced with something else.

Now the Car Lights Motor Action stunt show is another story. I saw that in Jan and will most likely not goto see it again :confused3

My oldest son loves this show. Don't know why, he's just into Indiana Jones so we usually see it every time we go. Since this year we will be going to WDW with first timers I'm sure we will hit it again. I enjoy it but wouldn't go out of my way to see it. It will give the rest of us a nice break out of the August sun. :rotfl:

If you like stunt shows go see it again. DW and I go all the time we visit MGM.
We love it.

we saw this on our 2002 trip and werent that impressed with it. was an ok show for us but we havent seen it again and dont intend to.

We always go, and usually can just walk right in for a seat. They even changed the show a little this year. I think your kids would love it! :thumbsup2

We didn't go this year, although haven't done it since the 90s!!

Also didn't do Lights Motors Action but only because we saw it in Paris on a freezing cold December day in 2004!

WE do it every once in a while . Kids aren't impressed much anymore and it is hot and stuffy in there.

once was enough for me, but I wanted dh and ds5 to see it so we did go again. They enjoyed it. Lights Motor Action was better though! :)

I don't like it much on a hot day. It does get stuffy in there. If it were just me and my wife, we would not see it much. But my girls like the show so we'll keep going. And being they are so young and we have a hard time splitting up to do ToT (our girls are wild!) we need all of the time fillers we can get at MGM. And IJ does take up some time.

I still like the beginning sequence, though. I always enjoy that.

My DS (4 at the time) hated it, I was really surprised. I think there was too much talking and stuff, I don't think he was interested in being told how stuff was done. My DH and I enjoyed it, well apart from the whining 4 year old! He loves the Motor Stunt show however, go figure.

we are just back and we did not do the show for several years. we caught it again this year with friends and it is exactly the same.

The show itself has becoming boring to me, but I still like it because all of the "Indianas" they've had have been really hot

It's changed very, very slightly, but i don't think its so much a matter of trying to change the show as it probably gets altered a little for various things the stuntpeople specialize in. There was a couple of little elements in the Cairo scene in a video I saw that was taken recently from when I saw it 12 years ago. I haven't been back since, but are definitely going this year to share it with my daughter (and will probably see it twice, I'm so worried it will close!)

If you're thinking about taking the kids to see it but are concerned about it being borning, why not be in it yourself? your kids would think it was a hoot, I'm sure. ;)

My 18 year old brother liked it enough to go twice. He went while I was riding RNRC, and then told me afterwards that it was very good and I need to go see it. Of course, he'd come with me to keep me company. I liked it, but I probably wouldn't go again unless there was a show starting right as I needed to waste an hour or so. It was a good show though. (And for comparison purposes, I'm a 23 year old female).
