Is Oct 12-19 A good time to go

Can anybody tell me if the middle of October is a good time to go to WDW ? This puts me in the middle of the WDW golf tournament and I don't know how the park attendence can be affected by this. I can change the dates but was unsure if the park can get crowded because of this.Has anybody been during the tournament before ?

We went during that time period in 2000. We really enjoyed the weather and the crowds were tolerable. The weekend at Epcot with the start of the Food & Wine Festival was a bit crowded, but workable. Definitely a nice time to go.

We went this past October. It was really nice. The weather was quite injoyable. We noticed that after the first full week of the Food and Wine Festival that EPCOT started to get crowded that weekend. However, we were leaving that Sunday. The crowds were not that bad though. It was mainly the lines for the food booths where we noticed it was more crowded. We had eaten all we wanted thought during the week.

I don't think it will be that bad for you. The busses were not crowded at all. Hope this helps.

Can we say PERFECT! WE've gone the last three Octs and it is by far our favorite time. Course, this past Oct was REALLY slow due to 9/11. We won't be able to go in Oct for many years now though. We can't take our DD out of school anymore. REally a shame.

I highly recommend Oct. Plus you can go to the MNSSHP at MK which was an absolute blast!

We've been 3 times in October and it's been beautiful. Warm days, cool nights and barely any crowds. This time we aer going in June because we don't want to take our 6 yo out of school. I am prepared for June to be ALOT different than October!!
