Is November/Thanksgiving Week really busy?

We are planning a trip for this November (2006) and am wondering if the week of Thanksgiving is usually really busy. We plan to be there the Friday before and stay through the week of Thanksgiving. Someone offer me some advice while I can still change my dates if needed! Is the week after Thanksgiving better?

In one word. Yes. That's the week most families take off since schools are closed 2 to 3 days that week.

Make sure your make reservations to restaurants you want to see. If you need air transportation, you should get that quickly.

The plus is all the Holiday decorations will be up, and it can be breath taking.

The week after Thanksgiving will be quieter. Not counting the weekend of Thanksgiving. If you have the option,I would take that week.

But anyway you choose, have a great time!!!

Very busy Wed-Sat of Tday week. Sunday starts getting better. If you have a whole week I would go the week afterwards, I've been at both and it's less busy the week after. Either way it is a great time of year to go. You could also get there and spend some of Tday doing the less busy things and then start hitting the parks beginning Sunday.
