We took my son (6) to Disney in September. This was his 3rd trip the first time he was 3 and the second time he was 4. This time he didn't want to go on any rides and told me when we got home he never wants to go back. Well, I looked at DD (20) and said I don't think he belongs in this family because we love to go. DH complains through the planning part but turns into a child when we gets there and has a ball. DS told our neighbor that next time my mommy goes to Disney can I stay with you. Please tell me he will outgrow this and love Disney as much as I do.

What is it he doesn't like? Is he scared of the dark rides? Does he hate crowds? Does he just miss being at home? I would try to get the details, and then see if this is something you can remedy or something that he will probably outgrow. My oldest is 13 and sometimes complains about going. I gladly tell her she can just stay here with my brother and SIL next time we go, but she always changes her mind, comes, and has fun!

He said he didn't like any of the rides. I think he was afraid because he didn't know what to expect. We aren't going for another 2 years so I guess I have time to work on him.

Mish - I'm wondering if my husband is your son's father, lol. He would rather not ever go back to Disney, and it's very disheartening. Not something he's going to outgrow, lol.

Your son may change his mind a lot in 2 years especially once he talks with other kids who go and love it. I wouldn't worry about it until much closer to time......
