Is MVMCP worth it if your kids aren't into characters or parades?

If our family really isn't into characters or parades, is the MVMCP worth it? If we have park hopper passes & plan to visit MK on other night's, will we be missing a lot of the Christmas lights & decorations? This is our 1st time going at Christmas.....really excited.

You won't miss any Christmas decorations or lights by not attending MVMCP. If your family isn't interested in the exclusive character meet and greets, parade or Holiday Wishes, then no, there's no reason to go to MVMCP.

We got about every 4 years, just as a family thing. To me the biggest thing about the party is the parade so if that is not a big deal to you, then no it would not be worth it. You can enjoy all the decorations and see beautiful fireworks every other day. Save your money.

we really aren't all that into parades or character meet n greets but i still find MVMCP to be worth while.

MK just has this unique atmosphere during the party and it just makes me that much more in the holiday spirit.

we like the hot cocoa and cookies and love listening to "pirate christmas carols"
and even though we don't get right into the middle of character dance parties we do enjoy passively participating at cosmic ray's.
we also like to catch holiday wishes but again not right up in the crowd.
and going during MVMCP allows for short wait times on attractions.

those are all reason why i think its well worth the money but if you are on the fence about it and you're already going to MK several times during your trip then i'd skip it.

Not worth it IMHO. // If you only want to do a few things at the MK though and aren't doing any other Disney parks, the party ticket is $70 vs. like $100 for a one day ticket. If you have some multiple day passes with a lower cost per day that is probably not a factor.// We did the party one year for cost reasons. I find that you can get more of the attractions in morning at rope drop vs. late at the party though.

If you already have a park hopper with plenty of MK time there's no need to do it. The Christmas decorations and music are there even during non-party days so you can still enjoy the festive atmosphere. Have a fun trip!
