Is MS being slow with the confirms lately?

I made 2 reservations recently, and haven't received the confirms in the mail yet, even though it's been 10 days.

I'm going to call MS on Monday, but in the meantime, has anyone else noticed a delay lately?

I have been waiting since the middle of February. I then emailed MS in the middle of March to ask them in an email for a confirmation letter. They wrote everything was in order but would send a confirmation letter out to me. I emailed them again Thursday. They said they would send another letter out. I don't know what they meant by another. They did ask me to check my address to verify if it was right. So I guess the answer to you question is "yes."

I noticed on one of my confirmation envelopes last year that it was postmarked a week after I made the reservation.

I made 2 reservations on Monday and had both confirmations on Saturday. So only 5 day wait here. Sounds pretty fast to me. Maybe it has to do with the resort you are staying at? My ressies were for SSR and VWL.

The time it takes to get confirmation letters has always been unpredictable. Recently, for us turnaround has been about 7 days. I last modified 2 reservations at BWV on Friday, April 1, and had the confirmations in hand on Saturday, April 9.

If I had my choice I would elect to get the confirmation via email like we get airline tickets. Benefits of doing it this way include the immediate ability to check details on the reservation to ensure accuracy and I suspect a sharp reduction in mailing expenses. For some reason each reservation we make is sent in a separate envelope. MS has never combined multiple mailings to our address in one envelope. For example we'll be at OKW for 8 consecutive nights in July - 5 days on points followed by 2 days on cash (Fri. and Sat.) followed by the last day on points. This kind of reservation results in three seperate envelopes with three separate postage expenses being sent. Too much waste if you ask me.

I know that last year they seemed to take for ever and I had to call. But I just made a reservation on March 30th and received the confirmation letter on April 4th.

The last reservation I made required several phone calls over a month to get a confirmation.

I made my BCV ressies on Monday, 4/4 and we had our confirms on Saturday 4/9.

As I noted on another thread (Long, long ago, in a distant......)

I have never gotten a confirmation letter yet!

Finally, after many, many calls (since I have been renting my banked (bonus) points, a MS agent told me that there had been a problem with sending corporately owned confirmations, seems only the corp. name and not the address was printing out. She said this error had been fixed as of last week, and she is resending all my confs. yet again!

Perhaps in repairing the corporate confirmation problem, the IST demigogs have messed up 'regular' confirmations?
