Hi there. We were thinking of going to the MNSSHP during our trip at the end of Sept. but with three adults and DS4 the price is quite steep. I was wondering if anyone out there could give me some advise if this is worth the money or if we could live without going. We were at disney last year and saw all the decorations and thought it would be great to go this year, but that was before we knew the ticket price:scared: I know DS would love it but will Dh and grandma get their monies worth.

We went last Oct 31st. The fireworks and parade spectactular! A very fun atmosphere. Going again in October 2008. Can't get the "boo to you" song out o my head.....

I have to agree, it is awesome. Dh and I went last year on our solo trip and had a blast! Your ticket will actually allow you entry to the park at 4pm, so save a day off your passes and go to MK at that time. You can certainly get in a lot of rides with little to no wait even before the party starts at 7pm. The atmosphere can't be beat, and the parade and fireworks are worth the price of the tickets alone!! Even the adults enjoy a little trick or treating too, so don't forget to get your bag when you get your bracelets at the gate!

We went in Oct 2005 and I agree the decorations, parade etc was great. Our only problem was our son was so tired that he didn't really want to do any rides. We are thinking about going again this Sept but thought we would wait til later to decide. I think it is something that everyone should experience if they have the chance.

sounds great!!!!! Is there any sort of price discount on the tickets if we already have an admission ticket for that day?

No discount for already having a park ticket. There are some discounts available for certain dates if you have an annual pass or if you are a dvc member I think. You can also save some money if you buy in advance on most of the dates.

What they all said.... go you won't regret it!

Fireworks and parade are amazing and worth the admission money alone!!

Lots of characters to find in halloween costumes too!! My kids did T'shirts for signatures again in October (use fabric markers and a embroidery hoop to keep the material tight) and the 7yo is always admiring his.... was a great souvineer!

Fireworks and parade are worth the price for your ticket alone. I loved it and the Boo to You song is still in mind head. It was an amazing night. Kids loved the dance parties, candy and the firework show was nothing like I have ever seen. Incredible night and worth. I would recommend going on a not so busy night so that you can avoid some of the crowds and literally walk on most rides.

We went Sept 29, 2005 and it is my favorite vacation experience! Me, dh, Grandma, dd3 and dd1. I believe grandma had more fun then everyone:lmao: There was so much too do and see...we only went on three rides and when we went on Buzz Light year we were the only ones on the ride it was so cool! There was candy, dance parties, and characters everywhere and the parade and fireworks was the best I ever saw;) We also got all of our faces painted for free in toontown!

We had been to Disney twice before and thought it was a nice change and it made us feel extra special...Grandma had so much candy...it took her months to eat it all:rotfl:

We just bought our tickets for the MVMCP in Dec...we are hoping it will be just as much fun. We have decided not to use a park ticket that day...we are going to relax at the resort and then go to the MK around 4:30 for the party and stay until our dd's are to tired to stay awake. This way we aren't spending the extra money on park passes for that day. We'll ride our favorite rides in MK while we wait for the party to start at 7:00.

Have a fun trip!

Fireworks probably the best we have ever seen. No ride line-ups after the second parade. I agree it is expensive so we usually do not use a park pass that day and try to get in as soon as they let us. Save your pass that day for another time.

If you look at it that way you get from 4:30 to midnight in the park for only $36.

The best hard ticket event at Disney. DH and I have down it twice and loved it. We don't even bother with the rides. The characters are in their Halloween costumes and the parade is worth seeing both times.

I written elsewhere about how much fun we had doing this last year. But if I were to say anything to help convince you to attend, it's this:

I can't remember a specific year's worth of trick or treating when I was a kid. Thinking back, they seemed to all blur together.
What I gave my chilldren last year at MNSSHP is a chance to make one Halloween stand out from all the rest. And that is something truly special.

I hope you have fun! BOO!

Yes, Yes and:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: YES- Go and don't forget to get a treat bag for the adults.

We had a great time last year. My DFi got so excited about all the candy, it was hilarious. He was intent on filling both of our bags (and we did!) so we did the pathway from Toon Town to Tomorrow Land a zillion times. The candy-dolers always gave him lots cause he was wearing his Birthday Button, too. So much candy!

We loved the parade and the fireworks, too. He had never been to a seperately ticketed event, and we both had a wonderful time. I was just hoping it would live up to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, and did it ever! We plan on going again this year.

Thanks everyone, you convienced me:banana: I just got off the phone from ordering our tickets. DS is so excited, we can hardly wait:dance3:
