We are going 1st week of Oct and MMNSSP will be on 2 of our days there. At 1st I thought WOW this will be great but then I found out that the cost for the extra tickets! is alot for just a few more hours and since we are traveling its not like I need to take back a bunch of candy? Unless the candy is special and we can't buy normally, which I am thinking its not? because I haven't heard anyone saying anything about that.
So how is it worth paying an extra $100.00+ more for a average family of 2 adults and 2 childern. Can anyone tell me how this can be worth that much more money on top of paying for a reg. park day because I MYP package didn't discount for us not being able to us part of two park nights?

What do you all think?

I absolutely LOVE mnsshp it is worth every penny extra you pay, and your kids will love it too. Your family can dress up with a costume or not, I'm like a big kid so I always dress up....this year I'm going to be Tigger :teeth:

It's not just about the candy it's mostly about the atmosphere and the parade is awesome. The headless horseman rides through the parade route before the parade starts, and all the characters in the parade are usually dressed up in costumes. Everything is decorated with pumpkins and spiders and it's just a spooky theme to the entire Magic Kingdom!! I can't recommend you do this party enough you won't be disappointed.

Along with all the stuff I've mentioned the majority of the rides are open, and there are usually not long lines.......I rode Splash Mountain like 4 times in a row last year without even getting off and back on. :rotfl2:

You also get a complimentary family picture taken with a Halloween backdrop that will be mailed to you after the party.

If you have any other specific questions please let me know.......it sounds like we'll be there at almost the same time you will. We already got our tickets for Oct. 2. :cool1:

Definitely worth it! And that is coming from a self proclaimed cheapo-
I too thought it way too expensive- but then figured when will I be here again at Halloween- My son is only 7 and going to Disney once (DS was too small to remember) at this age so I bit the bullet and bought the tix.
It was so much fun- the decorations, the parade was unforgetable seeing all the characters dressed up was great. For us the candy was secondary- We didnt go out of our way to get it.

Seemed like there were lots of characters around too!
Have fun and wear a costume!

we use MNSSHP instead of a park day. We were there last year and it wasn't crowded so we were able to ride the major rides without a wait.

We went to Disney last October just to go to MNSSHP ... it was worth every penny. My grandkids were asked to be 2 of the Grand Marshalls in the MNSSHP parade ... William didn't want to but Cissy did. And William and I were escorted to a reserved spot so we had a great view of the parade.
