Is Mission:Space Green level too intense for 5 yo?

I've never done M:S Green level so I don't know if my friend's DD5 can handle it. She's tall and pretty brave. How intense is the experience?

It's not intense at all, but if she has an issue with small spaces she may not like it.

It is not intense at all. It is a simulator, similar to StarTours in how it FEELS. However, if the child is claustrophobic at all then they might feel differently about it. The motion of the ride is totally fine, but it is a very small space and after the doors close the chairs move up super close to the screen you are watching and if she feels at all cramped or nervous in confined spaces she may feel a bit uneasy about it.

Green is easy peasy. But didn't they make all new missions for the refurb? If so, we don't know what it'll be like, but I have to imagine green will still be easy.

The new version of the Green Mission opening this month will probably be even less intense than before. The old version was the same of the Orange version, but without the g-forces (spinning). The new one is ta tailor made mission and the height requirement has even been reduced (Green only), so I would imaging that it will not be hard to handle at all.

I don't think anyone knows.
Mission Space Green is no more.
The new one is called Mission Space Earth and is a new mission and no one has seen it or been on it (publicly anyway)
I agree with PP, in theory it should be less intense but so hard to say how it's going to end up or what changes were made outside of a new mission
The HR change is sort of an odd bird too. They didn't change the ride seats, they added a booster seat to allow shorter kids to ride. No one has yet reported how that was going to work
Disboarder, @FastPasser had mentioned that answers might be forthcoming on some level soon regarding the seats, this upcoming week maybe?

My little ones have ridden both green and orange and have been fine, but they are adventurous.

My DS has been doing green since he was 5 and has always been fine. The motion isn't intense, but if your child doesn't like enclosed spaces, she may not like it. You mention she is brave, so I would try it. You may want to let her know that if she needs help reaching the buttons or if she doesn't reach them in time (if they still have the "engage now" command on the new ride) it will be ok. No, your module will not crash on Mars (my DS was scared he wouldn't press the buttons on time and something terrible would happen - let's when we had to let him on the secret that it wasn't real, LOL!)

My kid has ridden since 3.5 and loved it. His arms weren't long enough to reach the buttons as mentioned by PP.

I took my 5 year old in May, not an issue at all. Except he couldn't reach the button. Plan on taking my 3 (4 next week) year old later this month since she meets the new height requirements.

We might give the new one a try. We didn't like the old one though. With any luck it'll be less enclosed for the new one
