Hi everybody, for all the people who just got back from WDW, is Who Wants to be a Millionaire Play It gone from MGM. I'm probably a little late on this but I haven't really been paying attention to MGM. Thanks

Millionaire has been gone for a few months -- since probably August. The entire attraction has been dismantled and for a short while, Mouse Surplus (a local liquidator) had pieces of the attraction for sale.

But..but.. WHY!?!

I don't know. Personally I loved Who Wants to be a Millionare! Maybe I loved it because I had a chance to be on the hot seat and wow - what an awesome thing. The camera man came over to the row of seats where my family was sitting, and the screen showed the row of our family members and some random guy at the end of the row. I assumed it was my grandfather or the random dude at the end of the row. But my family was shaking me telling me to go over with the camera man. I was in shock because I had totally guessed the answers to the questions. I ended up getting out on a question about blood type, I said the most rare instead of the most common.

Last I heard they closed it because not enough people went to it on a regular enough basis. It's a shame because it was so much fun. I'm glad I played one last time when I went to WDW last March. :(

I played it and got in :p
All the adults looked a little ashamed seeing as a 13 year old just beat them ;)
I didnt go too far. I won a hat and a pin set/lanyard.

My mom was the phone a friend! It was sooo funny, the phone outside millionare was ringing and she answered it!! haha that was soo funny! The person who called her was like on 50,000? and she got the answer wrong! She won a pin.

I got in twice, but only during the Star Wars Edition shows. The first time (in 2005) I got up to 125,000 then lost (back down to 32,000 points), then in 2006 I won the Million Points! My little brother won the Million Points the week before I did, too, also in the Star Wars Edition. Hey, sometimes it pays to be the ultimate geek! :teeth:

We each won 15 pins, one for each point level up to 1 Million, a lanyard, a 1,000 Point Winner cap, a 32,000 Point Winner polo shirt (the smallest size is enormous on me; I'll never in my life be able to wear it :(), a 1,000,000 Point Winner letterman jacket (once again way too big :(), and a 4-day Disney Cruise for 4! Since it was for Star Wars weekends we also won "Darth Tater" Mr. Potato Head, "Unleashed" battle pack (4 mini action figures), and a Master Replicas die-cast replica of Darth Vader's TIE Interceptor (worth $300  ). It was sooo cool! :thumbsup2e

Wow that is so cool!! Good for you!! LOL, once my brother got in the hot seat and he was shaking because he was so nervous. he ended up wining pins, landyard, and hat. It was so cool. Yet, im so sad it was taken away! :sad1: :sad1: :guilty: But sounds dangerous is still there. :sad2:

I played it in 2005 when we went. The host was HILARIOUS.
The boy who went up was about 13 and got the answer by clicking random buttons. The question was about the order that Madonna's songs came out. :lmao:

Millionare was closed in MGM in august and will be turned into another attraction by 2009. It was shut down due to some anual passholders who had figured out the fast finger system and always went up to the hot seat. So they kept getting the merchindise points. So Disney decided to close it and stop the maddness.
