I'm sure this has been asked a million times, but is it too crowded in the middle of May or the end of May?
:confused: ::MinnieMo

"Crowded" at WDW is a relative term, but each of the times we've been in early to mid-May, it has been crowded, but not overwhelmingly so.
Probably put it in the middle of crowded times--some months you could do better, and some a whole lot worse!!!

The earlier in May, the lower the crowds. When school is out WDW is more crowded. The dates for schools getting out for summer vacations vary across the country from mid-May to late June. (My DGDs get out June 25 here in NJ)

I have gone the 2nd week of May. To me it was crowded. Now I am use to going in Nov(week before Thanksgiving)so, I'm spoiled by that low crowd time. Is it managable? Of course. For me I think it was just the combination of crowds and 90+ temps. It put me over the edge!!:crazy:
We ended up only going to the parks 3 days and those were half days. We were by the pool most of the time. We even went to the movies to get out of the heat!
Crowded could mean different things to different people. For me I just couldn't believe the crowds while just walking around. The waits for rides weren't too bad. I do remember Peter Pan was an hour+ wait.
If you are staying on-site, take advantage of EE. Also take advantage of fast pass.
I would go in May again, maybe the first week, not after. Keep in mind there are alot of schools that get out in May. Don't forget Memorial day. I heard it gets pretty crowded then.

We tend to go mostly around Memorial Day (our anniversary) and in October. We find both times to be quite do-able. October is usually more-so and May is probably a bit busier. We notice a pickup in the crowds around the holiday weekend, but then it gets pretty quiet right after Memorial Day.

In general, I think Disney does a great job of managing the crowds. They know their busy times and open more queues and have longer hours so that tends to help the crowds quite a bit.

Let's just say I wouldn't let the crowds detract me at all from going in May...good luck!
