We have gone at the end of May a few times and found the crowds quite do-able. They are moderate and you probably will find the crowds heavy over Memorial Day weekend.

Just get to the parks early in the day and you should not have bad lines and get fast passes when the wait is longer than 30 minutes and you should do fine.

Congratulations on your soon to be marriage and happy honeymoon!!!! I wish I could have done WDW for my honeymoon! Don't forget to get those Mickey ears bride/groom hats to wear while you are there!!!!!!!

WELCOME TO THE BOARDS AND CONGRATS!!!

It seems that most of our schools around here get out in June--so it should be manageable. Memorial Day Weekend can be a bit more crowded from what I've read! Happy planning!!!

Welcome to the DIS !! You won't find a friendlier group of folks to help you with your Disney planning.

Late May is one of our favorite times to go. Avoid the holiday week-end if you can, and try to complete your visit before the first week of June, when many schools begin their summer break.

We went this past May (May 8-13) and had a wonderful time - no line was over 25 minutes (most under 10 minutes) and never had to ise a fast pass.

... but I didn't like May at all. We went mid-month (18-22) and I found the crowds heavier than I'm used to (we normally go in Feb.) and the heat unpleasant (mid 90s every day). If you don't mind moderate crowds and hot weather, however, it may be ideal for you!

Happy planning and best wishes for a happy honeymoon,
Sarah

We've been 4 times and have always gone in May because:

1) the Spring break crowd is gone
2) school isn't out yet - less crowds
3) it isn't too hot yet

Have fun whenever you go!

Hey - Congratulations!!!

We went the week before Memorial Day two years ago and the week before Labor Day last year. Both were fine, but I kinda thought the end of August crowds were lighter than the end of May.

You'll be on your honeymoon and will have a blast no matter what. Best of luck to you.

May is(i should say was, dw is now a school teacher) our favorite time to go. The crowds are lighter as compared to the summer months and holidays, but be prepared; there are still alot of people there. As earlier posters have said: take advantage of EMH and fastpasses and you will find it quite manageable. Also, even though it is may; it is still pretty hot in Florida. expect temps in the mid 90's and bring lots of sun-block! I would try to avoid the memorial day weekend if possible as it tends to be pretty crowded...happy planning and welcome to the DIS.

We are going from may 22-26 to WDW for our Honeymoon/ Family trip in 2004.
Our first trip was in May 2001 for the Land/Sea cruise... satyed at the Poly. Weather was nice and crowds weren't too bad even though it was over Mother's Day.
We have also done the 1st week in December and 2nd week in Nov. Still prefer May though!

We'll be there the same time.
So will we.We may have to have to plan a meet.I will be there from the 21-28 and my Birthday is the 25th cant think of a better place to spend it either.:smooth:

We'll be there May 22nd thru 29. My oldest DD's bday is the 25th, too. She's already requested Chef Mickey's for that night. We celebrated her bday there last year and she loved it.

What are you doing special for your bday?
