Is March considered winter or spring

i think I have read that the winter 2016 cruises will open up in October (please correct me if I'm wrong). Will that include the beginning of 2017 and will that go through March? Or, in other words does anyone know when opening day for March 2017 will be?

The last couple of years they have released Jan-Apr, then May-Sept and then Oct-Dec. You should be able to book March 2017 this Fall if they stick to the same schedule.
