Is March a bad time to go?

Is there a particular week - like a teachers convention or something that I should avoid? March thoughts in general?

It depends on when Easter falls that year... this year Easter is in April and the only crowds are the spring breakers. Not many college kids head to disney- but the airfares are certainly higher!

We love the beginning of March. Great weather and low crowds.

5 years ago we went March 5-10 and I specifically remember the weather was really cold and it rained alot too. Also, while I don't remember this at WDW, I do remember Universal was having a Cheerleading competition and there were groups of kids all over the place.

Most Texas schools have Spring Break March 13-17.

We went the first week in March for our last two WDW vacations. The crowds were very light during the week. It did get busier when that second weekend hit.

The weather can be iffy, though. For our first trip, it started out really cold..to the point that I wish we'd brought more sweatshirts and coats along. It got warmer towards the end of our vacation. We went the same week in 'o4, and had fantastic weather.

I think you get a lot of spring breaks starting around mid-month. Colleges tend to have their longer break around that time.
