Please help! I just realized I there is a MB early hour for Fantasyland when we will be in WDW...but I already made ALL my ADR's and wasn't planning on going that day of MB...should I rearrange everything to get to the park an hour early for Fantasyland..or just get there the other day planned at rope drop and hit Fantasyland without the characters...my boys will have a chance to see their favorites at character meals..i'm just wondering if it's worth it to ride the rides early? thanks.

If you could swing changing your ADRs, then I think it's totally worth it.
We went last year, and dd got to ride on the teacups with Alice, ride Peter Pan with Wendy, play in Pooh's playground with Tigger, play London Bridge with Mickely and Wendy, and talk to Snow White for several minutes.
The interaction was so different than character breakfasts where they just come around to take a picture. For little ones EMH, they are actually there to play with the kids. Plus we went in early Sept, and Fantasyland was practically empty.
We will be back this year, and hope its as fun as last year.

but if my boys don't even know who snow white/wendy/alice are...THEN is it worth it? I'm more interested in them getting to ride the rides with no wait...are there a sworm of little ones there because of it? My concern is if Fantasyland will be any less crowded than at opening another day? make sense?

We did all the Little ones EMH we could when they were offering it last August while we were there. It was AWESOME..not only were all the rides walk on (or maybe 5 minute wait) but all the characters were out...Snow White and Dopey, Stich (who was riding Dumbo over and over) Mickey, Minnie, Daisy, Chip and Dale and Pooh and the gang.
My girls played duck duck goose with Minnie and Daisy, and played follow the leader with Peter Pan and Wendy..until Captain Hook came and wrecked the whole game by playing tag ;)..lol

Oh most definitely! My boys are night owls - so we only did evening EMH - but I would imagine the mornings are just as good - or better (no park stragglers). Enjoy!

Yep...totally worth it. The rides are virtually walk on -- but the character interaction is the best..not the usual autograph/pic, but just fun play. There was not a swarm of any kind... it was pretty empty/uncrowded (especially the first half hour). The only line of any kind is, of course, at Dumbo!

It was so worth it last year. Unlike any other character interaction you will have. At character meals or character greets in the parks it is a quick autograph and photo. These EMH the characters are there to play with the kids. Very magical! Here's my DS playing hide & seek with Pooh:

I think it is a MUST. The character interaction is the best. Most of the main characters are out wondering around or riding on rides and the kids are excited to get this special attention during this hour. Last year we were able to walk onto most rides. I guess you just need to decide what you think will be more important to your children.

I wasn't thinking of doing this when we go in Sept. but based on all that's been posted, I think it sounds like a must do! I'm not as interested in the rides as I am in the character interaction. Looks like I need to look up the dates for it when we'll be there-thanks! :goodvibes

I couldn't agree more. We have pics of ds playing ring around the rosie with Snow White (he was holding her hand and gazing adoring up at her, lol) and playing toss the ball with Goofy and Mickey Mouse. Our only regret was not getting there earlier, right when the park opened for it.

Are evening EMH's as good for character interaction? We only did Epcot last time we were at WDW and we plan to do as many as possible this year.:cool1:

I enjoyed the early morning hour(s) very much for multiple reasons. It is usually cooler earlier in the morn and you can get quite a few rides in that hour. The one big downside is that afterwards the crowds are usually heavier because of the early morning hour turnout.Still for us it works out,we are going in August it will be our 15th or 16th trip in the last 14 years. We split our days in to 2 parks per day,so we usually leave our morning park by 11:30 or 12:00.

Really, the best thing about the Little Ones EMH is that nobody is hounding the characters for pics and autographs! They are just interacting with the kids.

DH rode the carrousel with Chip and Dale, Dumbo with Stitch, Snow White with Snow White, and played hopscotch with Alice and the Mad Hatter!

Yes, the rides were all walk on, but having the characters out like that was really special!

We plan to go for them this year, as well!

I think some are confused. This is not the typical Extra Morning Hour for resort guest. It is a special one called Magical Beginnings and only Fantasy Land is open early. It is geared specifically toward preschoolers and toddlers maybe young school age. Characters are out specifcially to play with little ones (not pose for pics and give autographs~ there is a different venue for that). Magical Beginnings is also over at MGM with shows with varies Disney channel characters I believe.

go to allears.net for more info on this program. I believe it started last year and will be taking place again this year during September mostly (dates are posted )

Hope that helps.

we plan on doing it..the way we see it until we have a bad disney experience we are gonna get all we can out of extras...

We completely utilized our MB hours and had a great time. There were NO lines at all and we went on all the rides in Fantasy Land. It was great being able to see some of the characters without being mobbed and not waiting in the horrendous line that Peter Pan always has. One morning we had an early breakfast at Crystal Palace first and then went on to MB.
