Was able to get a lunchtime ADR. Originally was planning to only have dinner ADR's and if I keep Le Cellier, I'll have to do some rearranging. Is it worth it? Any big differences between lunch and dinner at Le Cellier?

We are very big LeCellier lovers. It is one of our most favorite restaurants and we eat there every time we are at the World. We have only had lunch ther one time and that was because we couldn't get in for dinner. It has been a while since that happened, but we enjoyed it just as much. Unless the menu has really changed for lunch a lot in the past couple of years, I don't remember there being too much difference between lunch and dinner unless maybe the portions were a little smaller. Like I said, it has been a little while and things sometimes change.

We really like Le Cellier but I also love a lot of other restaurants around the world so if I can not get an ADR I am not torn up about it. There are some differences in menu from lunch to dinner so I would check out the menu to make sure something sounds good to you. My ultimate favorite in world showcase is Teppan Edo but my husbands feels his fav is Le Cellier. Everyone is different so try it and see. :thumbsup2

Lunch menu looks good. Several steak choices to choose from.

Am I able to order the Chef's Favorites if i'm on the dining plan? I know that dining plan allows you to typically only get an entree and dessert. The Chef's Favorites comes with your choise of an appetizer, entree, and dessert.

Yes, you can! We did it during our trip a couple weeks ago.

Yes, it's one of the special exceptions on the Dining Plan.

We really love Le Cellier. It's our favorite place to eat at Disney. I would totally take a lunch ADR if that's all I could get. I also love how great a value it is on the Dining Plan.

did lunch there last year. It was fantastic! Never done dinner there - last year was our first/only experience. We are not going this year, simply because we want to try something else...but it certainly was discussed a lot! Not sure about menu limitations on the dining plan, but we were on the plan, and we were all able to get a very good meal with no issues whatsoever. Enjoy!

If we get it, :cool1:, if we don't, we don't. We don't get heartbroken about it. There's so many other choices!!! Congrats on getting in:thumbsup2

We really enjoy LeCellier, and go every trip. Mushroom filet and maple creme brule so, so good. We will be eating there next week, and can't wait. It is a hard adr to get and I would definitely keep it.

Is Le Cellier a must do? I would say no. It's a cool experience if you've never been there but not a must do IMO.

It's a nice change of pace from the burgers and chicken fingers you have most of the time in the parks. If you are expecting a Ruth's Chris or Morton's quality Steakhouse you will be disappointed.

We went there for lunch two weeks ago. I had the filet and it was pretty good. It was about the quality of an Outback or Longhorn. The risotto was kind of rice-a-roni-ish. It was certainly the smallest filet mignon I've ever been served in a restaurant. If this is a place you've never been before, I'd recommend it just for the experience, the fact that it's pretty good, and that it's something different from what you eat most of the time in the parks. I'd just recommend that you have realistic expectations. Oh, and it's expensive.

I think it's a must if it is your first time going to Le Cellier.

We have enjoyed our meals there, however I do not think it is a must-do. As the poster above me said, I find it to be more of an Outback (with much less steak selections) than a Morton's. In fact, I don't even consider it a steakhouse.

We had lunch at Le Cellier on the dining plan last week, and the steak was AMAZING!!! For us, it is a must-do from now on.

Cheers, and enjoy!

If you would have asked me this last year I would have said yes, We really enjoyed it last year, but this year it was tasteless, I even canceled my other 2 ressies at Leceillar, but I must say that the service was great! I feel that if you get a chance to go, go so you will know how you feel about it, I had a great steak at Kona Cafe, I think Lecelliar has built up a name but it really is not a place that you need to rethink your plans behind, I also found the steak at Coral Reef to be good!

Lunch and dinner were the same for me...both were delicious times at Le Cellier. :) It is a very hard ressie to come by, so it is a nice thing to try. My mom ate all of her NY Strip (and it was HUGE), which floored me. I enjoyed my mushroom rissotto and filet mignon as well as the salmon entree that I had tried the year before. Bon appetit!! popcorn::

We love it but sadly we were not able to get in for lunch or dinner the last tiem we were there . IT IS YUMMO

Frankly, I think LC is way overrated on the DIS.

I think there are 3 main reasons why:
  • It is good for theme park food. But then again, so are many places, especially in WS
  • It is expensive for a 1 TS. People on the dining plan feel like they're really maximizing the DDP if they have dinner there (Notice how it's always dinner everyone wants? More expensive menu).
  • Ever notice how many "picky eaters" there are on here (or traveling with people on here?). It's meat and potatoes.
Don't get me wrong - I have enjoyed the food I've had there. I really like the Cheddar Cheese Soup, and wish they'd bring back the outdoor stand that was selling it one visit.

But the seating is almost like the Biergarten (you're practically sitting at the same table as the party next to you) and I frankly don't think the food is that much better than I can get at Outback - for a lot less $$$.

Now that it's the latest darling of the DIS I don't even bother trying to eat there. I remember a number of years ago when Flying Fish was a darling of the DIS. Now you hardly ever hear about it. Oh that's right - it's 2 TS credits!

If I want a steak dinner I'll go to Yachtsman.

We love Le Cellier! I would keep the reservation! We have some really good steak restaurants here and I have to say the filet mignon is wonderful!!! We are going again next month!!!

My trip to LC was 2 years ago, and I don't know how much it has changed since. It was a really nice steak dinner. Which is great, after a day touring the parks. My girlfriend who was with us says it was her fave. I wonder if there aren't more unique dining experiences in WDW, if you really want something spectacular.I agree with the PP that Morton's it isn't, but the food was very good, as was the service. The tables may have been a little close for comfort, but IMO, that's understandable. It's a business, and they want to serve as many guests as they can...
