we are going to disney world the 22-29 of march of 2008 and it is going to be easter when we are there can anyone tell me if that is a crowded time?:cool1: princess: :hourglass

Friends of ours went this year for Easter and said it was insane.... Since next year they are continuing the YOaMD I would think its going to be crowded again!

Sorry to break the news, but that is one of the single most crowded weeks at Disney. Plan on lots of 1hr plus waits for most of the rides worth doing. That's when we always went growing up, so we never knew better, but that week will truly be insane.

We'll be there at that time. Have no other choice that is when our spring break is. Just take you time and enjoy yourself. It is doable. We where at Disney World the week of Easter in 2005 and yes it was crowded by as I said doable.

:)

I took the advice from the disboard and will be going the first week of March and leaving the Thursday most people will be arriving. I can't handle spending this kind of money and not being able to have my kids go on hardly any rides. JMO!!!

We've gone in March, and April, ( our DS's (16) spring break doesn't fall around Easter any more) missed Easter both times. It wasn't too crowded then, but if Christmas time is of any idea, it could be totally nuts.

Keep a stiff upper lip and carry on.:cool2:

Easter week is supposed to be one of the most crowded weeks of the year. This year being in March you have it coinciding with more Spring Breaks than usual. I would recommend following a plan like Tour Guide Mike for that time frame. I think having a plan will be key to enjoying a week that will be that crowded.

We are going March 10-16. We know we'll have Spring Breakers but hope that by leaving Palm Sunday we are getting out before the Easter folks come in.

It is wall to wall people BUT we had a good trip over Easter. You have to be willing to get there at opening and stay very late. If you want to show up at 10 and leave at 6 you will see and do hardly anything. The park hours are very long so even if a ride takes 3 times as long to get on as in October it is also open 3 times as late. Every ride will be running at full capacity which really speeds loading. The bad part is there will always be lines for food and in the stores. there will not be a square foot of open space without a body in it, which gets kinda nerve wracking after a bit. We went at opening and rode till it got jammed at late morning then did non-headliners thru the afternoon and early evening, then when the parks started to clear we went back to the big things like BTMR or Splash. Go early, eat at off peak times, stay late and you can do everything.

Just a quick note. Avoid going to the closest rides when the park opens. Go to the ones that you want the most.

When we go to EPCOT we head to Mission Space or Soarin' and avoid Spaceship Earth and the closer ones to the entrance. Many of the guides always start with the closest ones and go from there.

Many of the large tour groups follow the guides.
