Is Kidani lighting the same as Jambo?

I love AKL and the dim lighting doesn't bother me, but my Dad has some vision issues and light levels can be an issue. Is Kidani the same as Jambo as far as lighting is concerned? Just thinking about where we might stay if my parents decide to join us.

I found it to be very dim, and because of this, comments about the lighting always stand out for me. I've seen several comments that Kidani is even more poorly lit than Jambo! (but I've never stayed in Jambo)

Thanks, while the cool experience of seeing animals on the savannah would be a kicker for him, I don't think he would appreciate not having any freedom to explore on his own without someone to guide him through the dark.

Worse, if such a thing is possible. I loved our Kidani villa on so many other levels, but lighting is the worst I've ever seen! Let's put it this way: I had to use a flashlight to find a white sock on the bedroom floor... WITH every light in the room on.

Really ?? I found Kidani to be MUCH BETTER!! I didn't love Jambo, lighting had some to do with it but I LOVED KIDANI. The lobby is small (compared to Jambo) and I found it very bright Anyone else??

I had a hard time reading in the Kidani rooms, thought it was very dark. The rooms were beautiful though.

I find the lighting at Kidani quite comfortable. And I am visually impaired. No, it is not lit like a classroom, it is lit for the theme. But I have no issues and love the place!

I definitely should have specified - I found the light in our room utterly lacking, but the public areas of Kidani felt very bright. My villa also got very little natural light, so that didn't help.
