Is January a rainy month?

Just wondering if it typically rains alot in Jan. or not? Thank you!

Average rain in January is about 2.4 inches.

In January 2006 it rained nine different days for a total of less than half an inch.

In January 2005 3.3 inches of rain fell, with almost three of those inches coming in one day.

During January, the weather would follow the winter pattern. Generally dry, with rain coming associated with fronts moving through. The rains can last longer than those of the typical summer pattern, afternoon showers.

At least that is what I have experienced.

It doesn't rain in Florida much in the month of January, as far as my experiences recall.

Sure, it does get cool and chilly, but rain isn't as frequent in January as it is in the summer months.
