Is it worth using DDP at Brown Derby?

I've been doing some math in my head... we are getting the DDP and making reservations... Brown Derby is on the list but cost 2-TS credits... I'm thinking of paying cash for this meal and then using the TS on some other meal. Here is my thought process...

Cost of plan is $52/day.

QS meal would account for about $15 and snack about $4. That leaves $33 for a TS on the DDP.

Since 2-TS credits would account for $66... I cant see a meal costing that much at BD. I could see $50-55 per person... but then is it worth spending 2-TS credits?

Is my logic sound?

Other places we are going are:

Cape May Character Breakfast
Chef de France
Liberty Tree Tavern

also sure we'll do a breakfast at the Wilderness Lodge where we are staying... We are only there three nights... so CDF, LTT, and BD are the only dinners we are going to.

Thanks to all you planners that know this better than me. :surfweb:

When paying for the basic ddp, signature restaurants are seldom a good value. Except for the perhaps the lobster at Narcoose's, you are typically "losing money" when using the ddp at any meal that costs less than about $34 per credit.
(so that also means breakfasts are a bad value, most lunches, and many dinners--- thus the reason that the ddp has become a bad value for many guests)

For us yes - if you book the fantasmic package dining experience you get preferred seating at Fantasmic and a 3 course meal at Brown Derby. Its very relaxed, not rushed at all so that you can enjoy each course. The food was fantastic and we loved the whole experience. It was a great break from the park to just sit and chill. We will book this place every time without a doubt!

But even with the F! pkg at Brown Derby, you have to use 2 TS credits and the OOP cost is only $58, so you're still "losing" money.

We are going, and know it will be a lovely meal... I think the answer has been stated and is clear. We probably wont eat enough to use up 2TS credits and we'll just pay cash. That works for us... I'm assuming we can just total up what we are spending before we order and then decide at that point. If the bill doesn't come out to be around $34 for 1TS or $66 for 2TS, then cash is king.

Thanks for confirming my thoughts.
