Is it worth using a CS credit for breakfast?

Can I ask what sort of things you could get if you use a CS for breakfast? There are a few days where I won't be in Disney as I'll be going to Seaworld/Busch Gardens etc and sometimes I am using a TS for lunch, so my CS has been overlooked, I decided to use most of them for breakfast and most of them will be used at The Mara it seems, as the AKL is one place we will be staying.
Do you think this is value for money or should I stick to snack credits or OOP for breakfast?

Thanks

IT depends on what you order, however the food courts often have the sandwiches and grab to go lunch stuff available early so I would suggest geeting like a sandwich / salad, side dish (fruit bowl maybe? Or a small salad?) muffin or cookie or another dessert option and a drink. Eat some for Brekkie and take the rest with you. :)

Just to explain the real downside to using your credits at breakfast FOR breakfast is that it is not as good of a value. That being said if you won't have another oppertunity to use your credits do it anyway. Hope this was a bit helpful...

We saw a lot of people using the CS for breakfast. We as a family are not big breakfast eaters, but they had some great choices. Pancakes and sausage, egg s and bacon. I think if you like a good breakfast go for it!

We used our CS's for lunch and even dinner sometimes. Snacks for breakfast as we are really small breakfast eaters... but there are so many choices just do what you want - you can't go wrong!

Towards the end of our trip, we were using our CS credits almost exclusively for breakfast. The kids liked the breakfast choices better and we found that with a good breakfast, we were able to use the snack credits instead of having lunch. We were generally full until late afternoon. The adult CS breakfasts we ordered included waffles, pancakes served with bacon or sausage, french toast with bacon or sausage, or a breakfast platter with eggs, biscuit, hash browns, and bacon or sausage.

We actually liked the breakfast food from the CS places better than a lot of the CS places in the parks.

We would share CS lunches, to have enough appetite to eat all the delicious TS dinners. So, we ended up having extra CS credits to use for breakfast. We were paying OOP in the beginning of the trip for breakfast (with a DDE card still good from the prior year), so we saved $ by using our credits instead. Our favorite breakfast was in MGM at Starring Rolls. We got pastrami seasoned lox on a bagel with cream cheese, capers, onions, and a drink for one CS credit. I was able to get a small cappachino as my beverage, so it was definetly a treat. We paid OOP for this one time, and learned that it can cost just as much as a CS lunch, so you're still saving with the DP.

We used our CS for breakfast often for our family of four. Often DH and I would share one CS meal at breakfast and the twins would share one kid's meal. We were paying for theirs (under 3). I like breakfast food, so to me it made sense. We also would use our snack credits at breakfast to supplement the shared meal (or to get water for later). We took snacks with us from home for the kids...so to use the snacks in the AM was okay for us. On that trip we stayed at POFQ, and we thought that Sassagoula's worked well for us (is that how that is spelled?).

It's not as expensive as lunch or dinner but it worked out for us that we did 2 breakfasts (also at Mara). The breakfasts at Mara were really good and we always also got a bottled drink to drink later because we had refillable mugs we could use with the breakfast. They had adult and kids Mickey waffles with a choice of bacon or sausage or adult or kids breakfast platter with eggs, meat, potatoes, and biscuit. The kids meals cost the same as all the kids meals. The adult meals cost $6. Essentially it was free anyway since we spent the cost of the meal plan on our TS so we didn't stress about getting every penny possible.

Its the only way to fly, for those who feel that there is *too much to eat* they just share a meal at breakfast and lunch (or dinner) enjoy

looking back on our experience w/DDp (we were lucky! got it free!!!) we liked using a CS for a good breakfast much better than lunch. I'm talking eggs, bacon, pancakes, biscuit and juice/coffee. We then used sc's for a midday break and had room for the enormous TS! On the days we used the CS's for lunch, we weren't really hungry for dinner even though we always had late seatings. I say, go for the breakfast! Value, IMHO, should be based on whether you were still hungry or not. We never were!

Mara also has breakfast pizza which is really good.

If you are concerned about value, the night before you can go down to Mara and pick up food from the grab and go section so not only do you get your entree but also your dessert. All of the rooms at AKL have fridges so you can keep your food cold and you are good to go in the morning.

Pooch-

We are using the ddp plan this summer. When you were using the snack option for "lunch" what kind of snack options were you able to get that would fill you up till dinner?Looking for some strategy for using the DDP.:thumbsup2

this is what worked for us: We ate a BIG breakfast somewhere between 9 and 10AM. As noted before, eggs, bacon, biscuit, pancakes, juice/coffee. Then, around 2PM we'd split a bottle of water or a smoothie of some kind, frozen lemonade and maybe a big pretzel, a cookie, a pastry in Epcot WS some of the under $4 treats are enormous!! We really didn't need anything else til dinner between 7 and 7:30. We always took dessert to go and put it in the fridge (Wilderness Lodge) for a late snack. Also, a half gallon of OJ and a dozen donuts at the resort store were 1 snack credit each. Kept those in the room in case anyone (read: the kids) didn't want to have a big breakfast. They (16 & 21) were more likely to eat lunch in the parks than an early breakfast but learned quickly to share one between them. When they ordered two, we'd all pick on them and save SC's. We were stuffed the entire trip and left with 1 TS, 5 CS and 11 SC unused. I didn't believe it until I tried it but it really is TOO MUCH FOOD!!!! We could have easily not eaten anything but leftovers for the last 2 days of a 10 day trip!!

Have a great trip!!!!

I agree that it is a great idea to use your CS at breakfast. In August we started paying OOP for breakfast because we thought we would use them at lunch. We had 8 CS left at the end of a 6 day trip. This time we used them when we wanted to eat and found that if two of us split a breakfast we had more than enough. We ended up splitting lunches as well because if we ate the whole thing we needed a nap. We still had credits left at the end of our trip.
