We are booked out to florida in september, we are booked in economy out and upper class back. I have been quoted £900 to upgrade for the three of us to premium economy, is it worth it? can anyone tell me if you have more leg room and does the seat recline more? also do you get to put your feet up? sorry for all the questions I am just not sure what to do. Also when you check in fo premium economy do get fast track security at gatwick? I hope someone can help me.....

The seats are larger and have more leg room. Not sure about the recline though.

You do get fast track security which is brill. You also get proirity boading/disembarking and luggage. At Orlando PE/Upper are always out first and on a seperate belt.

We think it is worth it! :thumbsup2

As said the seats are bigger and the foot rest is nice and they do recline quite well.

We did it on our last trip and whilst we liked it for the larger seats and getting off quicker, we have decided that we would rather spend the money on holiday rather than getting there:rotfl2:

Would like to upgrade to Upper Class on the way back one day though:thumbsup2

I think it is worth it. I like the extra weight limit on the cases, the larger seat with more leg room and further recline. Plus getting of the plane 1st so getting through imigration quicker and your case being on a seperate belt is also nice. I also like being upstairs, it seems quieter.

Is definitely worth it if you can afford it. I love being upstairs as there's just more space than in economy, getting off the plane means you can get to the magic quicker:cool1: :cool1:

We have thought about this few times but could never justify the cost.
We have also been sat in the 'mini-cabin' twice - which is just behind the PE seats downstairs - so have left the plane at the same time as PE and UC. We got through immigration quick but then had a pretty long wait for the bags to come through. By the time they started to arrive in baggage collection most of the plane was through immigration and waiting with us.
And for what its worth we noticed that the seperate baggage belt that was for PE and UC didn't start to move until well after the economy belt - and then when it did 2 of our suitcases came through on it (even though we were flying economy)
I suppose if you are willing to pay the cost for extra leg and butt room then its worth considering - but we would rather spend when we get there.

We upgraded to World traveller plus (BA)which is near enough the same as PE,on the way out ,was it worth it-the simple answer for us was no! We just felt that the £200 each would have been better spent on holiday.A few of you mentioned upstairs,if Virgin go the way of BA & start using 767s then there is no upstairs & all that seperates the various cabins is a curtain.
SD:thumbsup2
