Is it worth trying to get an Illuminations Cruise?

Now that I've gotten further in my planning -I've been reading about some of the great extra things that you can do at WDW and the Illumniations cruise has caught my eye...I'd want to do it for our last night if possible after dinner at Flying Fish....

Anyone who has done one of these-what do you think-I know they're tough to get.....

We did one of these last Nov and it was a great experiance. If the price fits in your budget go for it.

Our Breathless Illuminations Cruise was wonderful, did it as a surprise for DH's birthday last year. You can read my review here:

I also got it first try, when I called at 6:57 am. However I talked to the recreation CM's several times about decorations, food etc and they were totally not knowledgeable about that aspect. No decorations for the Breathless, our snacks weren't even on board with us, the driver got them off a pontoon boat.

I know a lot of people get the pontoons and are able to share. If the price doesn't scare ya though the Breathless was great as it's in front of the other boats, we got to do fun little bursts and turns in it, and we liked the intimacy of our small group.
