GOING TO WDW THIS JUNE AND STAYING AT SSR.WE WANTED TO TRY OUT CIRQUE DU SOLEIL AT DTD BUT THE TICKETS SEEM EXPENSIVE.$71 PER ADULT AND $43 PER CHILD.HAS ANYONE GONE TO SEE THIS SHOW.IS IT WORTH THE MONEY.WILL BE GOING WITH DH,DSs(2YRS,3MONTH),DD(8YR).

YES!! YES!! YES!!! This show is incredible and beautiful, simply breathtaking. I took my little sister to WDW about 4 years ago. We spent 10 days at the Poly, did all the fancy restaurants, backstage tours, spa treatents, etc. Cirque is the one thing she is still talking about to this day! I think everyone will love it - adults and kids. It's simply captivating. I always tell people who ask - Do whatever you need to do to afford it. Sell your plasma, rent out your spare bedroom, whatever, but SEE THIS SHOW! :teeth: ::yes:: DH and I are now planning a trip to Vegas just to see more Cirque shows. We couldn't care less about the casinos! :p

We went in December. And to be honest, I had no idea what to expect, except that it was suppose to be really good. We had a party of 8 and everyone loved it!!! The other DW had seen a different Cirque performance & was not too thrilled to see another, but she was amazed by this show. If you have the funds, it will be money well spent! Go!

Now you see, I don't think Cirque is worth it at all!! I've seen two Cirque shows (O and Mystere) and I both thought both were INCREDIBLE wastes of money. Cirque is a kind of love/hate sort of thing. Either you love it or hate it, there is no in between. I'm in the hate it camp.

camp, our two were 4 yrs old, and though they *may* have enjoyed it - we didn't take them.

The grandparents babysat for the evening, and we had a great "date night":D

Your 8 yr old may like it, you would be the best judge of whether she would be content to sit and watch...but I doubt the baby and the toddler would...

so yes, it's a great showIMO...I can understand why some would consider it a waste of money, because it is a costly evening for a family outing...

Remeber, most kids, when asked what their favourite part of their WDWvacation is, say "the pool!!":D

Good luck with your decision...and enjoy SSR!!!:sunny:

thanks 5champs for asking the question ....I was ready to post it myself.

$$$ just seems to flow like water with WDW but IS everything worth it? We've been numerous times, and have not done Cirque yet.....

being the type A that I am, getting ready to make the reservations 180 days out.....

thanks for the input

We loved it! It was me, DH, DS 10, DS 9 and DD 16mos. I will say that DD got antsy towards the end, maybe the last 15 minutes. She is by nature very calm and easy going though.

Both the boys name Cirque as one of the highlights of the entire trip. Ditto for DH and I. It held DD's attention for a while, then we resorted to snacks, lol. Your 3mo. I would think wouldn't be a problem at all, when they are that young you can usually take them anywhere. The 2yr is questionable. He may be enthralled, or he may get bored, it is a long time to sit still, though there is always more than one thing to look at. I'll bet your DD would absolutely love it though! Especially the little girls who throw up things that look like spools on a rope and catch them all different ways. That was our favorite part!

That's a lot of money for something you aren't sure the family would enjoy. I have been many times to WDW and never gone to Cirque. I don't feel the need to go but others I'm sure love it.

I haven't gone myself, by my DH and DD went a few years ago. Seeing the ages of your children, I would think it would be good for your oldest.

Maybe you or your dh could take dd and make it a special night and the little ones could do something with the other parent more geared for their age.

I forgot to mention that they loved the show and raved about it for weeks. My dd even got a special facepainting done at AK during the day so she was "in costume" when she went to the show.

My DW and I absolutely loved the show. However, we have grandsons age 2 & 3 and both agree that they would not last for the entire performance. They are pretty active so we'll wait for several years to take them.
