Hello all,

We recently had moved up our vacation from October to September because the hotel was almost $200 cheaper! We went from staying at All-Star Sports to All-Star Movies (not a big fan of Movies but oh well). Well today while browsing, we can pay only about $300 more to have a split stay at the Yacht Club. We would be staying the first four nights at Movies and the last 3 nights at Yacht Club. Would it be worth it to have a split stay? To me it seems the Deluxe resort (have only stayed at Values and Moderates), the location would outweigh the problems of changing hotels.

We would uber from Movies to Yacht Club in the morning before hitting the parks. Conveniently we would be going to HS on our first day at YC.

So I ask of you tell me everything I need to know about Yacht Club!

Yes. Very much worth it. Love the Yacht club. Give a try and get hooked.

Yes! Yacht Club is an amazing resort - one of our favorites. Make sure to plan some resort time, that pool is fantastic!

Definitely worth it! FYI: you don't have to take an Uber if you don't want to. Disney will transfer your luggage to your new resort. You just tell bell services where you want it transferred to, then you go on with your park plans. Go to the new resort whenever you're ready. When you get to your room in the YC, call bell services to bring your luggage to you. Very easy, the only thing is they may not have the luggage there til mid afternoon.

Definately check out the Y&B thread linked above. Read page 1 for very organized & up to date information. Everything you need to know can be found there, Dee does a spectacular job with it. Any other questions, post there & you will get an answer. Lots of friendly helpful posters.

You can stay at Yacht and then board the boat to go across to visit the Boardwalk, especially at night!
You are going to feel like you had several vacations rolled into one!
Do it! Have Fun! :dogdance:

Definitely worth it. Newly refurbished rooms and a great location close to the Studios and Epcot.

Yes, definitely do it. In the scheme of what you are probably paying for the whole trip, $300 is worth it for a few nights at a Deluxe. The pool is amazing and location can't be beat.

I would definitely do it. We have always wanted to stay at the Yacht/Beach. We love the location and the pool.

For sure! Especially in the heat/humidity of Sep. You'll love Stormalong Bay, and the walk to 2 parks - so you can just do a short time at the park, break at resort, back to park, etc. So easy.

Going from a value to a deluxe for $100/night is a steal! Especially when you consider the value is a savings of $200 from your previous booking. So, it’s really only an extra $100 from your initial reservation to have three nights in a deluxe. I would take that deal in a heartbeat.

I'd do it, especially if you have some time to enjoy the beautiful pool at Yacht Club.

COntrary opinion: If you are wall to wall park warriors, and will not be making time to enjoy the amenities at YC, don't bother.

You will have access to Stormalong Bay, often described as a mini water park. Use it a lot, and enjoy. September is prime time for ride refurbs. You will be walking distance to Epcot & DHS, walk and boat both, to enjoy both experiences. Enjoy the Crescent Lake area. Revel in your 3 day deluxe resort stay, don't do morning-to-night parks on those days. Get your "park comando" done your first 4 days at Movies. Then lay back and "enjoy the good life" like the rich folks your last 3 days. You will be so glad you did, and remember it the rest of your life.

Yes and starting at a value and ending at a deluxe is the way to split stay, even though I'm not big on split stays. If you were going in reverse, I'd say NO but you're doing it "right"!
