Is it worth it?!!?

We've stayed stayed at WL and POR over Christmas, and have had early/mid/late December vacations at a few other resorts including CSR.

The Christmas stay at WL was a dream come true and it was very nice. It was also cold or almost freezing for most of our stay and I had to force myself to use the hot tub once! The lobby was pretty much packed for our entire stay. It wasn't easy to get a seat in the evening. We had lots of resort time and saw several musical groups perform and characters and Santa were in the lobby on Christmas eve.

The next year we tried a Christmas stay at POR. I liked the stay at POR better, one of the reasons being the lower cost, the resort also had a more relaxed feel. I made it a point to enter and leave thru the resort lobby going to our room and it really added to the holiday feel for me. POR has a lovely large tree in the lobby and a lounge with a fireplace off the lobby. Also saw musical groups, characters and Santa at POR on Christmas eve.
The setting and decorations at POR weren't as lavish as at WL, but I was happy!

CSR is beautifully decorated for the holidays, but the big tree is in the check-in area so its harder to get a glimpse when coming and going from the resort. Our stays here were either early or late December after Christmas, so we didn't see any musical groups, characters or Santa. But I wouldn't hesitate to stay at CSR over Christmas, something special will be going on!

Personally, I would probably stay at CSR and plan a dinner at WL. Whatever you do, Christmas at WDW is a treat!
