Is it worth it for me? Help?

I agree with above, you may not be a good candidate for DVC or timeshares in general. You cannot do roll aways with DVC and you'll really need a 2 BR to have space for the 2 children/young adult. What you might do is rent a 1 BR planning to put eh 12 y/o on an air mattress and see how it goes. Owning BCV you'd have to book exactly 11 months out every time to insure availability.

If you go once every year, only to Beach Club AND you can book 11 months out, it seems like a no brainer. Buy BCV re-sale!

Have you ever rented points before? You might want to try that first and see how you like it.

If you started the resale process now you might have points in time to book for next Nov. Some of that would just depend on how long it takes to find a contact you like and if you pass ROFR.

I have never rented points. I did some research and figured if I was to do this I would need a one bedroom and at resale 200 points is going for over 29k for Beach Club.

ok so if I did buy resale why would I not get the perks of the previous owner? Why don't they transfer as well? I know the perks are not a huge deal but we eat like Lannister's when we go hahha and that TIW Card seems awesome!

Because Disney wants to you to buy for a higher price from them in order to make more money!

Because the mouse is mean at times

The DVC "perks" are not writing into the contract/deed that you will be buying, the "perks" are part of the marketing that DVD does. They can be rescinded at anytime.

IMO it's rare for the perks to be worth it. Basically you need around 20 passes to break even and these are not guaranteed programs. Therefore, IMO, you need to break even on perks in around 3 years compared to resale to be reasonable. These are not contractual issues but add ons DVD does as an incentive. They are fluff, I wouldn't let them make your decisions. DVC is expensive, it can be worth it for some, not for others but those are the realities of owning there.
