Is it worth doing Alamo online check if........

Should I even bother doing Alamo online check in , if I have to add a driver (my spouse)? Or should I do the online check- anyway and go to the counter ( or will they add him in the garage when we check out?) and have him added before we go to the garage? Wish Alamo would provide a space to add this info online. It used to be so easy when your spouse was included and there was no extra fee for it. We will be picking the car up at the Tampa airport , as we have to pick up my elderly mother before we go on to Disney.
What would you do? Any info or thoughts are appreciated.

I just asked as I drove out of the garage. Attendant asked for DH's license, we gave it, click click, have a great day, and he was added as a driver. Thankfully, as an insider, and using Costco, I still get a free 2nd driver.

I'd do it at the garage, and be prepared to give up the other driver's license to be recorded.

If your rental includes a free second driver, the online check-in process does provide fields for collecting this information.

Are you signed up to their loyalty program, Alamo Insiders?
I have always been able to add the additional driver info during the Online Check-in process.
There is a link right under your info to add the extra driver info.

You can also add the second driver if you check in at the kiosk in the airport. I've never actually had to add anyone, but the question always comes up when I'm checking in at the kiosk.

I found the link on the check in page for the extra driver, so I did the online check in. I must have missed the link the last time we used Alamo. We are now all set to pick up the car on November 9th! Thanks to all who replied!
