is it worth as upgrade

I will be staying at CBR and I was wondering is it worth it to up grade to preferred.

The Preferred View is only a category over at the Value resorts. If you are staying at the CBR, you'll have Standard View (parking lot or garden view), Water View (looking at pool and or/lake) or King Bed room (king bed but view is variable).

Which room do you have now?

oh ok i have a standard view room. I thought that you could pay more to be closer to the pool, and food court area.

There is a preferred room category at CBR also, It's the Martinique and Trinidad North sections. It's $15 more per night to be located in those sections. Do I think it's worth it? IMO, yes, because CBR is very spread out, and it can be a lengthy walk to the food court if you get a far out location.

ABSOLUTELY!! anything beyond the preferred location can make for long treks to get those refillable mugs refilled!

Yes the preferred locations are great. I don't find great value in the water view rooms at CBR but I recommend the preferred locations if you want to be near the food court and main pool.

If you don't want to pay extra lots of folks like Jamaica. It is across the bridge from the food court.

I'll throw my opinion in here too: I definitely think it's worth the extra $15 a night for a preferred location. We stayed in Martinique, building 25, twice, and absolutely LOVED this location.

It was close to the Martinique bus stop (you just had to walk across a small parking area), Martinique's quiet pool, and a short walk from Old Port Royale and the main pool. If we wanted to walk around the entire resort, we could, but when we wanted to get over to the food court or pool or restaurant, we knew it wasn't a long trek.

Whoops! Sorry-the Preferred category was a new addition to that resort. It is the same price as the regular Water View room. I guess so many people ask to be close to the main pool/food court that Disney made it a new category!
