Hi everyone, its me!!!!! just wanted to quickly pop in and say that the surgery went well, and im doing well. the brace is horrible, but, maybe soon i can get one thats not so bad! as for the arm, its worse than before, but well take care of that soon enough. i am feeling alot better, the pain is much much beteer and im recoveringvery nicely. I do want to say that im sitting here in tears though as i write this, i got the wonderful card just now, its amazing and i feel so blessed to have such good friends,it means the world to me, its hard to express how much i appreciate it and all of you, thank you all so so much. again, im doing good, getting beter and stronger each day, its hard for me to sit here too long,so brandi will continue with updates till i can get back, but, i had to personally saythank you to al of my sweet friends, i cherish all of u
you dearly. hugs to all

I got a late start this morning. Forgot my train pass, so had to go back home. Ughhhh

It seems that come December, Disney's Animal Kingdom may be losing some of its meet and greets, and with that, one of the classic Disney characters. Jiminy Cricket and Pocahontas will be leaving Rafiki's Planet watch (Planet Watch is the only place in Walt Disney World where you can meet Jiminy Cricket). Terk, along with Lilo and Stitch are also set to be removed. The entertainment cut will also see the end of "The Adventure Begins" welcome show. These changes coincide with the introduction of a new character lunch offering at Tusker House, which begins on December 4 2011. No word yet on whether there will be any new additions as replacements, or if they are simply being cut from the line-up."

We woke up this morning and discovered that over-night the lodge was automagically decorated for Christmas! The tree and garlands are up. Everything is beautiful.

They are doing well these days ,I am even afraid to tell you so ...
Dad , at 86 , is coming next Saturday here in Milano to give a conference on
"vintage" airplanes , his hobby - we are so pleased he is well enough as to be doing this !
Mama and myself plan a trip to center town for some Christmas shopping ... while crowds aren't crazy !!!

How nice to have new faces on here and lots of people planning trips. I hope all the surgeries scheduled don't impact anyone's trips too badly. Scooters are not necessarily bad things. Renting one enabled Bob to come to WDW in October! Also so nice to hear from Wendy!!

Bob is scheduled to have cataract surgery in January. We are hoping to get in sometime in the next 6 weeks or so that we don't have to deal with our insurance deductible again next year. They are hoping that the lens they implant will improve his vision considerably since the corneal scar from the abrasion he got while in the hospital is impairing it considerably. Keep on swimming....

Hi all you wonderful AKL lovers! I've been lurking on this thread for a couple of weeks now. But since I made my AKV reservation for next October this afternoon, I figured I should say hi!

DBF and I are renting DVC points and staying in a Savannah View studio in Jambo from October 6-12. We've never even been to the resort so we're both excited to see it for the first time.

I'm sure I'll have a million questions sometime in the next 11 months until the trip, but for now I just wanted to introduce myself.

I have added you to the "list" congratulations on your first visit to AKL, it is going to spoil you for ever....

We will be at Jambo house Sav. view from 12/1 - 12/4.

This will be our first time staying Deluxe, as we've only stayed at ASMo and Pop.

Our trip was originally March 10 - 17 at AKV - Kidani...2 br for 9 of us. DH and I are flying and the other 7 are driving down. When we went to book our flights, we found we could save well over $100 by coming home Monday instead of Saturday...so we booked a studio at BLT for 3/17 and 3/19. I am so excited...never thought we would ever get to try BLT.

Additional days are always a wonderful thing.

Hello AKL lovers! I have also been lurking on this thread for about a week now and thought it was about time to say hello.

It's official. We will be staying at AKL from March 3 - March 8! We will be staying Pool View with hopes of a possible upgrade. We stayed here on our first trip in September 2001 but my youngest daughter was only 14 months and doesn't even remember. My oldest was 4 1/2 so she's pretty foggy too. I guess it will be like staying for the first time I'm sure it will be a wonderful trip and both of my girls are very excited to be staying at AKL.

I'm sure I'll be back to ask questions and input. This seems like a very close-knit group. I'm glad you are all here for us "newbies".
