Is it too early?

My husband and I are moving to Ottawa at the end of the summer and are planning a trip to WDW for Feb 2006. I have been researching fares for Air Canada, Canjet, Westjet, etc . . . and I think the fares look okay, not great but not horribly expensive. Basically we've looked at departing on Canjet and returning on Westjet . . . it just worked out a little cheaper. But is it too early to purchase the airline tickets? I mean, typically will fares for Jan/Feb go down in the Fall? I just want to maximize all our funds, like everyone I'm sure!! This is our first time to WDW and we are so super excited Thanks for any advice you can give!

Your best bet would be to fly out of NY, somewhere close to Ottawa to get really cheap airfares. I personally would wait!

We live in Ottawa, and fly out of Syracuse NY. It is about 3.5 hours for us. We fly on Transmeridian ( www.tmair.com ) and pay between $900 -$1000 CDN for the 4 of us, return. Totally worth the drive for us, plus we get to have supper at the Olive Garden the night before we fly out ( we stay at the Best Western Airport Hotel, paid $89 for the night and included 7 days parking, they have a free shuttle to the airport which is about 2 mins away). Have fun planning!

I booked for a friend this spring and I watched the rates for months. The cheapest Air canada or Canjet got was $169 one way. I t worked out to be about $450 return including fees and taxes.
